Not even close in my opinion. Season two was phenomenal. Season three was great, too. This season has been better than last year though.

I've had an up-and-down relationship with this show. The first season never really grabbed me, but was entertaining. Season 2 was some of the best TV I think I've seen. Season 3 was a step-down, but still good. Season 4 was better (in part thanks to Constable Bob), but last season was if the show had fallen off of a cliff. It's like they were writing as they were going along, and as it turns out, they actually were to some extent (which is why Jean Baptiste was killed off and never really fleshed out).
The show so far this season seems to have gotten most of its mojo back. It's entertaining, funny, and has me wanting to see what's next.
I also can't be the only person who stares at Sam Elliot's upper lip every time he's on screen wanting to see a mustache. He looks naked without it.
