I've wanted to watch it but it such an undertaking that I've never started. Samething with Dark Shadows, they're such long lasting shows that I'd feel like I wasted my time if I didn't end up loving them.

Just started watching "Wentworth" last night. Great show. Was going to start a thread but did a search and found this one.

caught that in my Facebook feed last night
Wonder how long it will take before it hits Netflix?
I'm guessing probably not until end of the given that it'll probably run 12 episodes and that ill take it thru to the beginning/middle of July.
Oh well, will have to use "alternative" methods I guess

Just finished episode seven of Season 3. Another great season so far. I'm guessing there are another five episodes. A lot of shit goes down in S3. And Governor Ferguson is probably the best villain on TV in years.

I thought the drugging/psych-ward plot line was a bit too "soap opera" like for my tastes, but the preview for the next episode appears to set things moving great again.

Yeah, I can see why you would think that. Thankfully they did not drag that on and on like a real soap opera. And other great storylines were going on at the same time too. I know Ferguson is going to go down and hard. She's creating too many enemies at this point. The question is, who will it be that brings her down?

Season 3 just popped up on Netflix Canada today. I assume it's on Netflix US as well.
Good timing since I just finished Orange is the New Black season 3, and well, that was somewhat of a letdown.

^That figures, since I just torrented the Wentworth S3 finale yesterday.
I guess, being Netflix, they wait until they have a whole season available.
Enjoy it. I did!

Watched a few episodes and this show is still awesome. I have a question because there's something I missed, or can't remember from last year:

Well, since they keep calling her "lagger" I figured as much.
My question is about what?

it's a ruthlessly dark drama, more like Breaking Bad with ten Gus Frings,
Hadn't heard of it before.

I wish that season 3 was on netflix.
I binged on seasons one and two and now I feel a bit lost, waiting for more. It was a really great show. I was surprised at how hard core it was really, coming off of watching Orange is the New Black.

Well it's on Netflix Canada so I assumed it was on Netflix US as well. Even if it isn't, there are ways.

Anyway, I finished it last night. The last episode was a bit of a mess trying to wrap up too much stuff and I didn't find Ferguson's demise entirely satisfactory, but still an awesome show.
I'd say best villain on TV or movies. Brilliant character, she makes Nurse Ratched look like a girl scout.

I was on the fence and didn't get all the hype 5 episodes in, but my f'n God did the show pick up and never lost steam. The character development is amazing, especially Bea (Danielle Cormack is tremendous), but you could throw in Frankie and Vera too and each season has a different feel to it but all 3 work just great. The acting can be a bit cheesy at points (Boomer) but maybe that's paying homage to the original.
I agree about Ferguson being one of the greatest villains ever. She's the female version of Vern Schillinger from Oz.
I love/hate/then love Frankie, again with the great character development, but does anybody know if she's coming back for season 4 or did they give her the happy send off? The show might take a little hit if she's not back, but the final shot of the crazy girl who started that women's group who Bea fucked over will be the next great villain/rival with it kind of going back to season ones theme. Everybody needs to check this show out, either on netflix or other means like I did.

I'm just now starting the last episode of Season 3. This show has been a wild ride that has never let up. I've loved every minute of it, all three seasons. It is hands down my favorite show on TV at the moment.

I had not heard, but fantastic news! I wasn't crazy about the first two episodes of S4, but it really picked up after that. I'm on episode 9 now. And it's a great season. Probably the most emotional yet. Lots and lots of tears, so be prepared. And Ferguson, still the best villain. You just want her to die a slow and painful death. And I hope she does.
