I just finished up season 7 .... holy crap, that was good ... Talk about a show on the exact opposite trajectory of Orange is the New Black. They are going to have a hard time topping this one

Yeah, it's a great show. Season 6 has only been my least favorite. It wasn't bad. But I didn't love it like the others. Season 7 hit it out of the park again.

Season #8 now up on Netflix. I'm not sure when I premiered, Friday 10/2 I'm assuming. I'm four episodes in. It's pretty good so far. The jury is still out on two of the new characters. Will keep watching for sure. I read online that season #9 was filmed at the same time and will air next year. But will be the last. Remember, season #7 was supposed to be the last for the show but calls for support and outpouring of fans worldwide made the producers reconsider and brought the show back for seasons #8 and #9.

I've been watching this season via torrents and really enjoying it. One episode to go, but it doesn't appear that it's on Netflix Canada, at this point.

Watching episode #5 now, the one with the mouse. This is terrible. Worst "Wentworth" episode ever. And the jury is in, I just don't like new characters Reb and Lou. They are dull as hell and even the actresses who play them are not very good. Overall, this is the weakest "Wentworth" season so far.

One episode left and had time to think more about this season up until now. And I've changed my mind. It's not only the weakest, it's pretty bad overall. Nothing will ever compare to the first three seasons. But if this is the best this show can do now, it's time to call it a day. Because it's such a pale comparison to everything prior. And other than Vera, I don't care for a single character on this show now.

Anyone watch Season 9, the final season?
I just finished it. Definitely not up to earlier seasons, but I found it to be a satisfying finale. I'll definitely miss the show.

I'm only up through Season 5. Been meaning to start 6 sometime soon, hopefully. Still pretty good at the point where I'm at, in my opinion.

I would never say it was bad. Just not as good as the first few seasons. You definitely have some excellent episodes ahead of you.
