Could be nothing more than that.

As for Tyrese...with Rick & Abraham in the mix and Daryl the silent badass, it's too many alpha males. I'm okay with a softer Tyrese at the moment.
Spoiler:
You are correct about Father Gabriel. He was living with the guilt of leaving his parishioners to die.

I dont trust Gabriel.
I had a feeling from the start that Bob was infected by they way he was acting. It would be sweet to hear him tell his captors this if or when the kill him.
I still do not like Carl. I dont like his voice. I dont like his long neck. Seriously, his acting was better when he was younger.
I want to see some serious ass kicking from Daryl and Carol.

Rick took almost every black member of the group with him on the run. It was like Kirk beaming down with a squadron of red shirts.

For a second I wondered if Rick being the only white guy made him the defacto black guy and if he might die. Kind of like the Othello productions where they cast O white and have black actors in all the other roles.

When Bob got another kiss (didn't he say "one last one"??) and then went outside and started crying I thought that
Spoiler:
he must be infected. He was probably bitten through the sweater/shirt where it wasn't obvious just by looking at him. Bob had started to grow on me.. If he is infected, I wonder if eating him will make the Termites turn.

Tyrese was on Talking Dead going on and on about the importance of being non-violent. So, I suspect his character will continue down this path until something happens and knocks some sense into him.

I hope Beth gets back with the group soon. Carol and Daryl are just the right ones to take down the creeps who took her.

I figured Bob got bit on the leg underwater. That's easy enough to hide from the group.

Also, twisted ending. Not sure I ever thought they'd pull off that storyline. Pretty dark for tv.

I don't understand what it is that Bob could be infected with. Didn't we find out a long time ago that everyone is already infected? The "symptoms" only present when someone dies. So even if Bob was scratched, I don't see how he would be any different from anyone else still living.

When they are bite, they can turn like Andrea's sister or Jim who they left by the tree to turn. It takes a while so it's possible that Bob was bit though they usually show signs like high fever. Usually, they just kill the person who was bit like tiny in the prison.

If I'm not mistaken, it isn't the transfer of a virus in the bite or significant scratch that does the damage, it's the extreme contaminating nature of the bite or scratch that causes nearly 100% severe infection leading to the death of anyone exposed. It seems that the zombie body is a breeding ground for the most lethal of infectious agents. An example of how hopeless it is to save someone who is bitten from certain death would be the scientist who was the title character of the first season episode "TS-19". She was described by her husband Edwin Jenner as a top world class bio scientist and in the middle of the heart of the CDC no one could save her. However, if an extremity is exposed, like Herschel's ankle in season 3, quick amputation can save the day.

I like that theory. If he was bitten on the leg, maybe the Termites actually saved him by taking it off. Still don't hold out much hope though, since it looked like they were giving him a goodbye episode and it was a while between the bite and the abduction/amputation.

Also, on Talking Dead

Spoiler:
in a preview, it showed Sasha looking down the scope at a zombie coming right at her and then it cut away from the scene... and... it showed a black guy in disguise as one of next week's guests...

The virus being present in everyone is just a switch, or genetic marker, that you will turn into a zombie upon death. An actual bite from a walker is like a fast forward towards death. That's how I like to think of it.

As for being bitten on the leg, I thought maybe it would be his stomach. They would have seen the bite on his leg while cooking it.

Tyrese is seriously the worst. What's the point of being non-violent toward a group of people that took you prisoner and tried to eat you? What's the point of being non-violent and letting that guy live who threatened to kill a baby and then forced you outside to die a horrible death? If I was Rick I wouldn't trust him to protect my child in the slightest. I really can't wait until his character is killed off.

I assumed Bob had been bitten. With the way he asked for another kiss and then went out into the woods to cry I figured he was getting ready to kill himself or something. Surprised they depicted the cannibalism so obviously. It'd be great if Bob was indeed infected and the cannibals were infected from eating the meat. Would love to hear Bob confront them with that small bit of information.

Definitely don't trust Gabriel. He probably just panicked and locked everyone outside to die to save himself.

Did I miss something regarding Beth? How did Daryl know the car that had driven by had Beth? Either way, I'm looking forward to Daryl and Carol kicking some ass together.

I thought the pop-up promo for "Bob's Burgers" was in poor taste.

That plan to jump in the water was just about the dumbest thing possible. I mean, given that there's murky water all over and that zombies can kill with a bite, submerging 50% of your body into an unknown zone and using silly shelves as protection just screamed jumping directly into the fire.

Tyrese is an embarrassment. Both his being a pussy and his obsessing over the little white baby like a big Plantation Mammy. I guess its good he can at least turn the "Killer instinct" on when protecting white females like a good big black guard dog....

Re: The Walking Dead (S5E02) -- "Strangers" -- 10/19/14

I thought it was a good episode, as it looks like it is setting up for a real good season. I still don't understand why people feel the need to pick apart every episode and complain and complain. I say this cause one of my best friends does the same thing every Monday when we talk about the new episode, and I told him I don't want to hear his whining anymore.

Sure there are plot holes in the show, and somethings don't make sense. But take it with a grain of salt and enjoy it for what it is.
