TNT was always the wildcard here. Bummer it's not happening, but chances of it finding a decent audience on TNT was slim.

'Titans' and 'Young Justice: Outsiders' to Debut on Upcoming DC-Branded Digital Service
Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment today announced that executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are teaming up for the all-new live-action drama series “Titans,” which will debut in 2018. Additionally, Warner Bros. Animation’s “Young Justice: Outsiders,” the highly anticipated third season of the popular “Young Justice” series, is also ramping up for its first mission next year.
Both fan-driven series are in early stages of production and will air exclusively on a DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service in 2018. Operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group, the new digital service will deliver an immersive experience designed just for DC fans.
“Titans” follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. “Titans” is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.
“Titans” will be written by Akiva Goldsman (“Star Trek: Discovery,” “Underground”), Geoff Johns (President & Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment; “The Flash,” “Arrow”) and Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”). Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”) are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Looks like DC is getting into the streaming service game.

re: Titans -- coming to DC Universe
they are going to kill it by having their own streaming service. That means people will have to pay directly for these particular shows only which will really limit their viewing audience
Put it on netflix, many people with netflix will at least check it out.

Every studio wants their own streaming venue. I expect Young Justice to get heavily pirated since it won't be on a mainstream platform like Netflix.
Sadly, this is going to become more and more of a trend. Hundreds of different digital outlets competing for dollars. I guess DC had few options. They are intensely frustrated with Cartoon Network's handling of DC shows, so it makes sense to walk away from that channel.

They really should just take a failing station or buy a new one and turn it into the DC Network. It can run all day with DC Cartoons, films, old episode of the Arrowverse, Smallville, Gotham, etc. And then have some new shows at night... like Titans.

Exactly. They seem to have enough content to do something like this.

Yeah screw this. Maybe in a couple of years if they keep pumping out content (gimme a LoSH show and all the classic DC cartoons, including stuff like Superboy and the Legion and Krypto and I'd get it for the kids).
And I love both of these properties (YJ and Titans) too.

Casting Starfire was always going to be very difficult. She's a 6'3" or even taller beautiful alien with orange skin. There just aren't any beautiful giant women running around in Hollywood or anywhere else.
Keeping that in mind, it's still a disastrously poor casting for a number of reasons.

I always thought she was just a couple of inches taller than Donna?

Starfire is supposed to be a drop-dead, stunning beauty. It's an indelible part of the character. I'm not sure this actress qualifies to fill that part, though I realize that is up to the individual and more subjective.
Comic book characters come from an entirely visual medium. That is what makes them different in the world of fictional entertainment. Starfire has been depicted in every medium prior to this with orange skin and flaming red hair. That includes mediums aimed at children (cartoons) and adults (comics). This is going to end up just like the Domino makeover where they have to disregard the comic book design.
This Starfire is going to end up looking nothing like any prior conception of the character.

She's a poor actress as seen on the 24 reboot. The actress is nearing 30 when the actress playing Raven is 13-years-old. That disparity alone is going to push the audience's suspension of disbelief.
