I just see a lot of lazy writing, like the actors show up on set and start doing improv right away. I can't imagine the money is very good, this has become a huge ensemble cast and the actors likely have better opportunities elsewhere.

They need to keep NFL guys out of the show, even for dream sequences.

Just an aside, Katie Aselton is so fucking hot. Duplass is one lucky bastard.

Yup, and it seems like they don't do more than one take. I can just picture them all saying after a particularly mediocre scene, "Eh, that's good enough."

I gave up on last season with 4 or 5 episodes left. Finally caught up with them on Netflix and they definitely weren't as bad as the first part of last year. Gives me more hope about this season.

Oh shit! I thought she was married to the guy who plays her husband on the show ... That changes everything ...

I think they do that because virtually no one would recognize an NFL player in civilian clothes outside of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

I thought it was funny, but I agree that there's too many NFL player cameos.

I always enjoy Taco's NFL knowledge... "Julia Jones... it's gotta be tough being a woman in the NFL"... then drafting "Chad Ochocinco of the Montreal Alouettes" - which works since the actor is actual a Montreal boy.

Random thoughts on the show: the Kevin/Andre thing has been done before, most notably on Seinfeld when Elaine/George traded social standings for an episode. I really hate dumb characters, so Taco drives me crazy. And I really don't get the desire for Jenny, aside from the fact that she is essentially the only woman on the show, which makes her the only woman to lust after (of course, she's a far second to when Sofia is on the show). And totally agree on having too many actual players on, although the Vernon Davis story was good.

My favorite NFL cameo was Chad OchoCinco in the Vegas Draft episode.

I personally think Jenny/Katie is far hotter than Sofia/Nadine, but that's just me, and I'm comfortable with that.

I don't find Katie Aselton's face particularly attractive as I always thought she looked 10 years older then she actually was and a little rough, but her personality on the show and the rest of her are pretty darn good.

Finally watched the new episode ... Overall, I enjoyed it. Like most episodes, it had ups and downs.

I can't say the NFL player appearances bother me as much as it seems to bother others. For the most part they fit well into the story and aren't just shoehorned in. However, I am trying to figure out what world the characters live in that their lives intersect with so many NFL players in Chicago during the NFL season. OK, I see your point ...

Jenny is hot ... Nadine is hot ... But the hottest is Shiva!

I also prefer Jenny and Shiva over Sofia.

I couldn't even get thru this episode. It was horrible. Not a laugh to be found. Not even a chuckle.

it certainly wasn't horrible, but it wasn't that funny. it would've been funnier to keep the tefl-andre thing going, but with the angle they took, it's obvious that they had to out him sooner rather than later.

I'm disappointed the Andre stuff ended so quickly. I wish it lasted longer too. The baby Geoffrey (and the coach making fun of that, especially spelled with a G) started off funny but ended predictably.

Having Jay Glazer was dumb in this case too; I think someone feeding Andre lines was funny, but no reason to cram in an NFL personality in there.

Somehow, I thought Jay Glazer made it funnier. It would have been better, though, if they'd left out the "Andre donating to his charity" explanation and kept it a mystery.... like, for some random reason, here's Jay Glazer helping Andre out.

Also, put me in the "Jenny and Shiva are WAAAAAYYY hotter than Sofia" crowd. Jenny is really cool, Shiva is pretty, but Sofia just seems a big pain in the ass. I can almost picture myself getting into a burping contest with Jenny... Sofia would blow up because I was "disrespecting Special Lady Day" or some shit. And I say this as someone who lived with a Puerto Rican girl for almost six years, and likes Latin girls generally.

I thought the idea of a roiding Little Leaguer was pretty funny.
