Eric in the car rotfl

The only emotional moment of Bill's death was relief when that fucking scene was finally over.

Didn't seem that way.

Suddenly? Pam died it in the past episode with 3 Yakuza guys watching on. It was like a 3 minute scene.

How would you all rate the finale based on the examples below?

Fringe - Excellent

Battlestar Galactica - Disappointing

Lost - The equivalent of watching someone drown the dog that you have had since you were a child while your house burns with your loved ones inside.

What was the point of them dying Sarah's hair blonde?

Wouldn't the "cure" in her blood eventually be entirely diluted as her body produces more blood? I guess it changed her blood for good?

The episode was slowly paced and wasted a lot of time, BUT

Eric & Pam lived on to be awesome & Bill's sorry ass died so it was better than expected.

There were rumors for ages that Bill was going to turn human. I am so glad that did not happen.

It was pretty dull. I actually liked the last 4 or 5 minutes though. I would watch a "New Blood" show.

Not as bad as Dexter or Lost. Probably better than Battlestart Galactica. Sort of a "just there" finale

That certainly set that up. Maybe even filmed it. Likely that they filmed it. I thought for sure Sookie would blast him, he would turn human and she would be human now too.

Word on the wire is that that was one of the endings they filmed.

Overall, I liked it alot. I'm sure that I'll probably be in the minority here on that one. But I thought the ending for all the characters was solid. And the way Bill went out definitely wasn't a cop out. I thought that the good episodes this season defintiely outweighed the bad.

Since 08 this has been my campy summertime fun show and I'm happy that I watched the series from its initial pilot through now. I'll likely be getting the complete series once it's released on Blu.

I wonder if the finale had been different had Alan Ball written it.

Have to disagree re: this being better than Dexter finale (or, at least, the final season). Both were bad, but I never thought I'd see a formerly good show make Dexter's finale look good by way of comparison (not this soon, anyway).

This season dragged at a glacial pace & became Vampire O.C., IMHO. And it seemed that someone was working out a lot of personal issues by having Season 7 be an extended metaphor for pet social issues (at the expense of excluding engaging scenes in favor of manipulating the overall story in order to set up certain "relevant" plot lines...executed with a ham fist.

Well, the true death at last for the show. And Sookie's got Tinkerbell waiting to fly out.

The f-bombs got so ridiculous this season, I expected Eric to tell Ginger that they were finally going to "f_ng f_ck" last episode...but I suppose that would come too close to exposing how lame the dialogue had gotten by that point. Disappointed that Anna Camp wasn't used more...she is a far better actress (and character) than one-note Pam, whose droll commentary got tiresome early on.

They did succeed in one thing...killed any desire I had to go back & revisit the early seasons. Those babies are going to be sold quickly while there's still a bit of interest.

Thought it was a great finale - they didn't puss out on the ending with Bill and everyone got some nice closure. Though it wasn't my favorite season, it had enough to keep me interested every week and ended strong.

This confused me. Once she used her light that meant she'd turn human? hasnt she used that light before?

It's funny that characters who have all cycled through many many different partners in the months/year or two that the show has taken place over all stayed with the same people for four years.

I do take comfort in feeling like they were setting it up that the Hep-V that had Sookie's fairy blood laced in it appeared to be turning Bill human and Sookie just gave him the true death before it could kick in and finish off.

Other than that, this shit was awful. Who would have thought that a vampire show where one vamp snaps the neck of another vamp 180 degrees during sex could have ended with a fucking happy go-lucky Thanksgiving picnic.

Ugh. Can't believe they were able to snag Led Zeppelin for that boring-ass, piece of shit finale. Seriously, 50 minutes of that hour was just pointless boredom.

I don't get why we needed a vampire wedding with a couple who half of which is still mind wiped and doesn't know why he even cares about the other.
