It's got the full support of MLB, FOX, FOX Sports and FS1. It's basically a baseball and FOX Sports promotional tool.

According to Deadline, The Good Place was conceived as a 13 episode season. So no full season order for it.

TNT cancels Murder in the First. No surprise there and season 3 sucked.

I have them on the DVR and did watch the first 3 episodes but stopped because of the comments here and I figured it would be canceled anyway. Guess I'll delete them now.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

The Walking Dead renewed for season 8. I guess AMC doesn't forsee what would have to be a massive ratings drop over the next 16 episodes to not give them another season. I wonder which actors had only 7 year contracts.

Bull I liked so far. Kevin Can Wait has potential but seems like the same character with a different family. MacGyver, Scorpion, Genius, ..... How many shows about smart people thinking fast, doing weird shit can they come up with. I know MacGyver is a reboot but you know what I'm saying.

No real surprise but CBS has canceled both of their new shows from this past summer, Braindead and American Gothic.

Anywhere that I can watch American Gothic? Stopped at like Episode 4 or so because of the Olympics and am curious what happened.

Stop no word on the Night Shift renewal that I've seen. In the past the announcement has come pretty quick. The delay has me concerned.

The ratings for No Tomorrow and Frequency have been dreadful on the CW. It's kind of a shame since both shows are very watchable. They are already on the verge of cancellation if things don't improve.

I've already stopped watching No Tomorrow, and I'm almost ready to gong Frequency for totally illogical time travel.

I completely agree on Frequency (which is a WB produced show), but No Tomorrow is from CBS, and as co-owners of the Network the only other programs they have are Crazy Ex, Jane, and Reign (which may end after this Season). In a perfect world the ratings would decide, but considering how WB heavy the Network is then I could potentially see them keeping NT regardless of the ratings. We'll see.

That's a good point I hadn't thought about.

Not worth bumping up the thread with almost no activity, but Guilt was cancelled by Freeform after 1 season.

I'm assuming Dead of Summer will be soon to follow. Both were very low rated.

Does Freeform have anything going for them? With PLL finishing up (and low ratings) plus SAB, curious if this will just sink.

Drama wise Stitchers, Shadowhunters, The Fosters and the final season of Switched at Birth aside from Pretty Little Liars.

Dead of Summer hasn't been cancelled yet, but I doubt it's coming back.

They have a new show called Beyond launching early next year. Their scripted inventory will be pretty weak once PLL ends.
