If TBS didn't pick it up again, I think Adult Swim / Cartoon Network would have, it is one of the top 5 cable shows almost nightly on there. I'm pretty sure re-runs of the show perform better than they do first run on TBS.

Reign on The CW apparently had an episode order cut. Season 3 is now 18 episodes. Not surprising since it's moving to Fridays.

Someone at the network must really love Reign, because its ratings didn't merit a renewal in the first place. I have a sinking feeling this will be it for the excellent period show.

Perhaps CBS has already found adequate replacements, such as Zoo and Scorpion, whether in spirit and/or keeping costs down.

I believe the Amazon Prime streaming deal was up for renewal, which is probably the actual reason it didn't get renewed by CBS. I doubt many were still streaming it on Amazon by this point.
