I'd say give it 8 episodes. If you're not hooked by then, it's probably not for you.

I've been watching it, I'm about halfway through the first season. The acting is excellent and it's very moody and atmospheric, but it's a slow-burn type of show. That's not a bad thing or anything, just be aware that it's not an action piece. There's an action set piece in episode 4 that's done as a single take that's breathtaking though, I can't believe they did it on a television budget on 35mm. It's also really not a show promotes a positive view of the world .

I thought it really picked up around the 9th episode. Then it was a real joyride.

I think it's very good, but the praise it got from the fans last year as 'one of the greatest....' makes it in many ways overrated.

90% of what I was reading was about Alexandra Daddario anyway . The show is good though .
