Re: Last Show You Binged?
Just Finished S1 of "PREACHER" on Hulu. When it first aired I gave up after the 1st ep but came back once S2 was posted on Hulu. I'm a few eps into S2 and loving this series...

Mash - Hulu. So I have seen every episode at least twice and to this day whenever I visit my parents my mom and I would watch at least two randomly aired episodes before I would go to sleep, but my mom finally cracked open the medicine and martinis dvd box set and informed me that she rewatched from start to finish (well, she is almost on the final stretch of episodes) so I thought it would be neat if I did the same once I saw Hulu had the eps (and the eps appear to be complete and uncensored, so some of the questionable/racy humor that might not make it on the air in today's #metoo climate is all intact, jokes about rape, vibrator's, etc..).
I am not able to watch as fast as my mom but I am up to Season 4 after only maybe 2-3 weeks of watching so I have watched at least 60-70 eps so far. It looks fabulous in HD (even though some scenes with special effects look hilariously bad in HD, such as when Klinger tries to flee camp using a hang glider) and it is such a thrill to be undertaking a chronological watch having never done so prior to this month.

^Yeah, but do they remove the laugh track? That's a big advantage of the DVD set.

Andicus, Michael, there is no laugh track removal as these seem to be uncut episodes that originally aired on the FOX network (or at least FOX supplied the eps to Hulu).
I have to say that other than some of attempts at special effects and obvious green screen scenes that are just straight up ugly looking in HD the rest of the show is beautiful (the detail of the environment in the Rainbow Bridge episode is just a pleasure to look at) and the background laughs fade into the background when I watch so many eps in a row and am paying some attention to my tablet.
What really is a bit shocking is how mean-spirited some of the digs at characters like Frank Burns were, and how often you would hear Hawkeye say something like I hope to run into and out of Nurse Baker/Jones, etc. many times later tonight (jokes like that were for some reason not noticed by me before and when I was younger went right over my head).
This show was edgy for its time and might still be considered more edgy than even some of the stuff that shows up today in comedies on FX and HBO.
If you took the hardcore language and any nudity/sex out of many basic cable/paid premium channel comedies you would be left with shows that are as edgy as a beach ball, that is not at all edgy (I was trying to think of a cooler way to say many modern comedies use language/sex as crutch but I think my point still stands).
Anyway, sorry for the thread digression.
Still watching, now at least 60-70% through season 4.

Re: Last Show You Binged?
Been catching up on a lot of stuff this summer. Most recently I have tackled the following:
The Last Man on Earth: Season 4 - Really hope we someday get a wrap up movie. One of the shows I'll miss the most.
The Mick: Season 2 - Loved how dark this show could get.
Fresh Off The Beat: Season 4 - Tied with Black-ish and Speechless as my current favorite ABC comedy.
The Gifted: Season 1 - Wow! As someone who has been finding certain superhero shows difficult to get through these days, I was not expecting to love this as much as I did.
The Bold Type: Season 1 - Fun Freeform show! Love the interactions between the three ladies.
Con Man: Season 2 - Finally caught Season 2 when SyFy aired them over Comic-Con week. Love the cast and the cameos. I could mostly handle the cringe-worthy situations Ray gets into.
Better Things: Season 2 - Never laugh out loud funny for me, but I get sucked into the stories every time I start an episode. Pamela Adlon has never been better.
Claws: Season 2 - This show is batshit crazy. A fun summer show.
Rise: Season 1 - Not many favorable opinions on this forum, but Jason Katims made this worth it for me. I would have gladly watched a second season
Mistresses: Season 1-2- Always meant to catch this when it was airing. Another really fun, soapy summer show. I'm a few episodes into season 3 and I do not think I'm going to like the casting changes.

Currently watching Stranger Things, we're at the last episode of S1, gonna be a bummer waiting for S2 to be released, but we have plenty of other stuff to watch so we'll survive.
