Neo Yokio Season 1 (netflix)

I was surprised looking online afterwards to see it pretty much universally panned because I thought it was fantastic.

Chuck: Season 2

So I watch Scorpion which you could say is in the same genre/realm as Chuck and rewatching Chuck and trying to watch Scorpion is...interesting. You have nerds saving the day, government agents, action, humor, and sometimes over-the-top plots. Chuck excelled at this and had charm in spades. Scorpion while fun on it's own but while watching Chuck just shines a light on its shortcomings. I find myself watching more Chuck and Scorpion episodes collecting on the DVR.

I loved Chuck but hated, despised and loathed the series finale when it first aired. I felt it ruined the entire series for me. After calming down and rewatching it a few times along with the rest of the series I kind of like it.

Lost: Season 6

Ran through the entire six seasons over the summer with the kids. I was dreading season 6, and after watching again that dread was justified. The entire first half of the season (temple & Ajira team) is a complete waste of time. Ab Aeterno and Across the Sea were stand outs though. Some of the "off island" stuff was decent but it's all nothing more than a red herring to pull off the "gotcha" ending. We watched the finale last night and it really is an amazing finale and some of the performances were fantastic. Lots of tug on the heartstrings moments with characters you grow to love along the journey.

Trim it down to the two aforementioned episodes, the Desmond stuff and a fraction of the flash-sideways... it could be a tight 6 episode season.

Red Oaks Season 3 I loved it. One of the finest series on Amazon Prime.
Stranger Things Season 2 I liked it, but this season is slow paced.

Chuck: Season 3 - burned through it in 9 days.
Impressive. Chuck's all grown up and a real spy and in the process the show lost a bit of the charm. It was also the first "Subway" season so in many ways it was a small step down from the perfection that season 2 was.

There's still a ton to love though. Awesome/Devon learning Chuck's secret was and still is a brilliant choice over some of the other characters learning first. Casey's private life reveal toward the end of the season was a solid direction to go as well. The subplot about the long term affects of the intersect on the brain was pretty inspired too. Scott Bakula was fantastic casting. Overall, a very, very good season that only falls short because Season 2 was so perfect.

I loved it 'til the end. I'm really enjoying going through it again. I watched seasons 1-3 multiple times back when it was on. I haven't seen 4 & 5 since it aired though. I'm looking forward to revisiting those two seasons.

Season 1 of Mindhunter. great show.
Spoiler:
Holden’s personality evolving/ seeing himself becoming more like the serial killers he is interviewing and his increasing misogyny and story arc was an interesting angle for a show to explore and not typical.
The serial killers are creepy. The actors playing Tench and Kemper should get some award nominations. They were awesome.

Still one of my favorite shows ever. You're right, it would have been hard to keep up the inspiration that S2 was. S2 kicked ass on so many levels. This one is a great show to binge because at just 5 seasons with 2 being short runs, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel as soon as you start. Unfortunately the final few episodes were real bummers but as I re-watched I appreciated they weren't going for the fairy tale ending. They wanted Chuck to go back to the beginning after all he'd been through.

Ozark, watched the first 2 eps then binged the rest 2 weeks later. As a rule I don't typically binge watch shows.

working thru Schitts Creek now... Pretty funny show. Nearly turned it off in the first 5 minutes of the first episode but I'm glad I stuck with it. 2 episodes left in season 1 and started watching Sunday night.

Stranger Things: Season 1

I don't subscribe to Netflix so I was glad to be able to pick up a BD release. Since I'm late to the party, it's one of the few times a show totally lives up to the hype. Now it has me thinking about picking up Netflix for a month to check out season 2.
