Obliterated, Netflix. Purely a guilty pleasure. The first few episodes were funny. After that, I was too invested and had to finish.

Making a Murderer: Seasons 1 + 2 - Basically, after hearing for years and years about just how amazing this show was, I decided "what the hell", I'll check it out. After basically watching 12 episodes in a row (the first season plus the first two episodes of the second), I was clearly hooked. And even though the second season is not anywhere nearly as good as that first one (the main lawyer, the female one, really, really annoys me. It's so obvious she's a publicity hound (and she basically admits as much) that it really detracts from the show. Also doesn't help that a lot of time is spent by her and her "experts" kind-of-but-not-really disputing some of the physical evidence.) Now, I don't doubt that they are innocent (and they did address something in season two regarding the brother and brother-in-law that I couldn't believe they just brushed aside and really didn't mention again until season 2), but ultimately season two could've been cut in half, just based on the outcome of the case (or lack thereof). It's hard to sustain the level of tension when most viewers (even newer ones) already remain aware of the case as it currently stands. But that first season? That was insane. I kept wanting to go to bed but every time I shut off the tv and tried to sleep I was like, "just one more episode, just one more episode"...I also had to actively avoid other people I'm living with cause as soon as they found out I was watching it, all they wanted to do was talk about it and get my opinion on it, episode by episode. I basically locked myself in my room to avoid these conversations...
The Boys: Seasons 1 + 2 + 3 - A show that starts off slow but gets better as it goes on (I basically felt the same way about the comic book series; I thought the first two dozen or so issues were way too dialogue-driven and that they really dragged when it came to the main storyline). While I still prefer the Ennis/Dillon adaptation, Preacher, this one has slowly grown on me. I love most of the actors/actresses, but really it's Antony Starr that stands out to me. He's amazing as Homelander. Now, I did stop reading the graphic novels at some point, so I'm intrigued to see where it goes next. I think there's a ton of avenues to explore, and I know they've already begun, as I recently watched the first two episodes of Gen V, and I thought they were pretty good (and, man, every time I'm like, "there's no way they could film that" or "show that", and then something happens like what went on in the first episode of Gen V). I give you a hint? It's the one that involves a "shrinking person." I was like, "Wow."
