The only thing that occurred to me is that Megan didn't like how nonchalant she was about how well she knows Don. I doubt Megan feels she has that kind of connection with Don.

Jealousy, she paid her off to leave for the same reason. She doesn't completely understand that the love Don is showing her isn't romantic love or she wants that caring Don is showing his niece.

I didn't get a chance to watch this until last night, and with all the hubbub online I thought this was going to be another experimental form episode or something, but we got a threesome and Ginsberg finally succumbed to his obvious mental illness. Okay? I mean it seemed like a pretty standard episode to me.

Seeing Black Canary was a bit jarring (especially since Walter showed up on 24), but then I remembered she had been on the show before.
GREAT episode. How Peggy handled Ginsberg after he gave her his present was a fantastic bit of acting. Everything was spot on. I could just do a dookie.

We have seen Ginsberg acting weird in the past, haven't we? I seem to remember a few odd moments, but when I was trying to recall specific things I was drawing a blank.

He admitted to being unhinged in his first appearance. In other episodes also had the weird first date with a girl where he ordered soup and told her that he was a virgin, and he also talked to Peggy about being a full blooded martian. I can't remember which episode it was, but he once said that his radio blocked transmissions from getting to him, and in this weeks episode he was complaining about his radio being broken.
Edited to add:
Thinking that Project K stood for "PROJECT KILL MACHINE"!! - how could I forget about him mentioning that?

I had a similar reaction to this Ginsburg storyline as I did with the fat Vito going full-homo and lamming it storyline in S6 of The Sopranos. I felt like with such limited time in the series, why are they wasting it with this crap? It just felt totally unnecessary. At least I think we've seen and heard the last of Ginsburg.
Also, it's time for Don to totally screw over the firm and cash out his partnership shares before moving on to a better job/company. Everyone that's left at SCP, with the exception of Roger, are treating him like shit and he should return the favor.

At least Ginsberg went out with a bang. They certainly did not know what to do with that character other than the one scene with his father way back when.
Love when Don brings down the house.

I'm surprised no one heard Peggy scream from her office - it was pretty loud and should've been heard by the secretaries outside her office. The noise of the typewriters, phones and computer wouldn't be able to drown it out.

I thought Ginsberg was secretly in love with Peggy because he was always mean to her. Kind of like how little kids will be mean to someone they like.

I actually had the same impression. And he looked like a miniature version of her last boyfriend. I thought they'd end up together eventually.

Agree 100%. Really hoping this happens before the year break.

The tobacco account at least explains why they are treating him like shit. Though you would assume Mr. Lucky Strike (Roger) had to know this was coming up.

I think they were hiding it from Roger, too. I also think they were recruiting the big tobacco client to finish drumming Don out, not the other way around.

I doubt it, if they brought in the tobacco company just to drum Don out they would cut them loose once they demanded Don. They want them the same reason they want anybody, it will make them a lot of money.

They have a Don problem according to some of them.
Two of them who are outside the old Sterling Cooper power structure are seen meeting in the mainframe room talking.
They figure out that what will really propel the shitcanning Don will be making some serious money. They more or less go to big tobacco with this and set the meet. Of course it will make them money. It will also give big tobacco a win because they get the last laugh with Don Draper. Note that the people outside Sterling Price would be the ones with contacts in tobacco still speaking with them.
They bring Harry in because after all many of the people in the firm hate Harry and after all they are using the mainframe room. They also probably need to consult him on TV strategy.
Harry double crosses them and Don seals the deal by giving Uncle Phil a win for big tobacco that is also a dig at their brother tobacco companies.
That's totally how I see all of that going. I don't for a second think this was the partners all doing something together off screen they revealed to us. For one, that's not Wiener's style. The clandestine weekend mainframe room meeting was totally intended to show us it was the two of them who hatched this plan.
