The trial of Tyrion was awesome. Dinklage really carried this episode. Now that was some real courtroom drama.

They should have used this clip for The Hound:

I always remember Charles Dance as the bad guy from Last Action Hero. "I've got my eye on you".

For comparison, here's the trial scene (from Shae's testimony onwards) as in the book presented in audiobook form

(stop playing it about the 10 minute mark to avoid hearing beyond what's depicted in this episode)

Just catching up with the show, 4 eps left !

Just finished this one

When Tyrion says "i demand a trial by combat", seeing all the expressions of everyone was priceless, Oberon (my fav character) was the best, he had a "shit just got interesting" expression

Shae had a "what have i done" expression

Jaime had a "stupid little vegemite" expression

absolute brilliant scene all round

One thing I don't get: apparently you can go through the whole trial, see whether the verdict is going to go against you, then declare trial by combat and have someone else stand in for you. So if you were very rich and could afford, say, the Mountain to fight for you, how would you ever be found guilty of anything (of course, if you were rich and powerful you probably wouldn't find yourself in this situation)? Or, if you were the Mountain yourself...

In the eyes of people of Westeros, it is the Gods deciding the outcome of every trial by combat.
