Damn Fitz gots some big balls. Awesome. Been loving this kid these past few episodes.
Great twist with Garret. Best episode of the series.

Loved Coulson geeking out over the old Howling Commando tech. The large file transfer line was classic.
Ward's action at the end was very vague. Did he intend to terminate Fitz and Simmons or did he know they would survive and intentionally save them?

I am thinking that it was meant to show that Ward is an ass. However, they were vague with both that and whether or not he killed the dog. Though I doubt he would have fired in the air to scare it off then pick up a rifle with a scope and aim it for no reason.
If he is truly a bad guy, I like it that way better than redemption. Mainly because the actor isn't that great and I don't want to see him trying to do any conflicted stuff that requires a range.

May and Coulson as nerds was funny.

I didn't think it was vague. They thought he was going to suck the air out and instead he jettisoned them where they could be rescued. That's why they showed that he couldn't kill the dog. They're basically setting up Ward to redeem himself.

But Ward is still a killer, he just can't pull the trigger on those he's attached himself to. Not sure how you can redeem yourself from killing SHIELD agents.

Not sure why they would bother now. He killed a few SHIELD agents, shot them right in the face at times. He may like be thrilled with some of what he is doing yet he's still doing it. The best he could do is die for a good cause and even that may be odd as why do what he is doing now just to try and stop it.

Liked May and Coulson going undercover.I see they were using this episode to try to give some back story on Ward and how he became Hydra along with adding some sympathy factor for him.
I hope they keep him the way he is as a cold blooded Hydra agent as opposed to fighting his "Good" and "Evil" sides.
The stuff with Garrett and that device which was apparently keeping him alive was really weird.

Cool reveal about Garrett, didn't expect that at all. It will be interesting to see what that drug does to him.
I'm glad the episode wasn't all about Ward like the preview seemed to indicate, but the ending confused me a little as well. Seemed like he let the dog run off, but then you see the scope. It would be neat if this show had the balls to kill off a major character from the season, but i'm doubtful it will happen, even if it's Ward.

Ming-Na looks even younger when nerded up.
Skye's parents were monsters? Can one hope for a Fin Fang Foom appearance?

Garrett was obviously watching Ward and the dog, and when Ward didn't kill the dog Garrett took it upon himself to do it.
They did a good job NOT showing Fitz and the other chick in the previews for the next episode, but I still doubt they are dead, and I feel Ward knew they'd survive the drop into the ocean.

I knew Garret's ultimate plan for Buddy as soon as he left him with Ward and just spent the whole episode dreading it. I'm going to believe Garret missed the shot though.

And there's frigging Star Wars in the preview for the next show. It's chasing me.

The "file transfer" was perfect. When they put the files back after hearing the guards, I was thinking "why aren't they taking those with them" - then they shove the whole cabinet out the window
Perfect.

Garret made a comment that Ward hadn't followed all his orders before the flashback and I assume that's what he was referring to.

I guess that whole sequence depends on how you view the flashbacks. If it's from Ward's point of view, then he would be the one looking at the dog through the scope. I viewed it as an objective point of view and that Ward let the dog go and Garrett may or may not have killed the dog. Either way makes sense and the overall point was that Ward has a weakness.

Honestly, I was hoping they would commit to Ward really being a bad guy. So when he didn't shoot Buddy, I thought "ah well, I figured they wouldn't go there." But then they tacked on the sniper scope view, so I thought maybe they did commit. They should have showed who was on the scope to make it 100% clear.

I can't believe this is a debate. Garrett shot the dog. It's rather obvious...
