When Reese sits down, scream out "I LOVE YOU, REESE!" so that all of us in the forum know that you are really there. :)

I just want to know that he's there, I didn't want to get him thrown out of the theater. ;)

Letterman's still funny and has always been funny. I hope that I'm that whip-smart and witty and "cool" when I'm 67/68. On his best day, Leno was never funnier and Letterman was never going to act like Kimmel (who idolizes Dave) or Lonnie Donnigan, because those guys are much younger than him.

I'm not saying Letterman's not funnier than those other guys (Maybe not Conan doing his solo stuff) but he's just not as funny as he was. I really don't find any of the late night host very funny. I mostly watched The Daily Show and Colbert, but unfortunately that's changing too.:(

Obama should have said something to Dave about when he was growing up in Kenya, he would stay up late at night plotting to overthrow American democracy and hoping to one day be a guest on the Late Show.

Two for two!

As much as I can understand why Leno would choose to pass, I think he'd be a fool not to show up as a "surprise" final guest.

For no other reason that, after all the two of them have gone through, it would simply be remembered forever if they both were together again, I think it would make Jay look good (he should could use it after looking like the villain he was with both Letterman and Conan) and it would just be good television.

The show needed to be at least 30mins longer.

It did show him as a weatherman. I didn't expect that.

Not happy that Will Ferrell doesn't look like he's going to get much or any time for his last visit.

It's great to get the President, but he doesn't need the whole damned show to talk policies.

Start the interview earlier than normal, give him two full segments and bring out the next guest.

It's not like they're probably going to be able to squeeze Will in somewhere else. :(

The cameo doesn't count.

I still think Leno will be on the show. They'll probably keep it under wraps until it gets closer. Remember how much a secret the whole Oprah, Letterman, Leno commercial was.

I think they had Leno fly to NY and wear a hoodie or something into the building.

The tribute show was pretty damn great. It's going to be so weird having Letterman gone. The last of the classic hosts to go and the late night landscape as far as CBS and NBC go is looking pretty meh to me. I like Conan and Kimmel quite a bit so I'll watch them, but I doubt I'll watch Colbert as I've never been a huge fan of the guy.

Just back to my wife's family's house, what an amazing experience. Got in line to get my tickets at 1:45. Got my tickets about 30 minutes late. Ended up with red 73/74. We were the first group let in for the tapings. Got seated a little after 3:45 or so. Seated in the first full row right next to the band. Really shocked at how small the theater is.

She's so damn phony as I always think of her drunken tirade when her husband got pulled over for a DUI and she was yelling at the Cop about her being an American Citizen and she has rights...

Working my way throUgh my backlog of recent eps, thanks for the heads up on Reese , I'll fast forward that....

Enjoyed his Steve Martin segment...

The musical guests numbers have been a little underwhelming so far.. Hope they can all kick it up a notch the next two weeks....

Based on the preview for tonight's show it looks like Cher is stopping by. Hopefully, she'll call Dave an asshole one more time.

And then Norah Jones comes on and sings a song about orgasms.rotfl

Now that was a final guest worthy of being a final guest.

Entertaining the entire time and what a killer song that was.

Rest in Peace Dave.

The tribute show was fun, but I wish they would have shown a lot more stuff from the NBC years...that's when Dave was at his funniest. They had a few interview clips from those years, but I don't think they had any of his skits or his great "man on the street" segments. I'm guessing they had to pay NBC for what they did use, so that probably had a lot to do with it.

I thought she looked great with and without the dress.

I'm on twitter and the consensus there was that she looked damned good even when she took it off.

It's funny, because there are people who have always been in a category of being more of a Leno guest and a Letterman guest and then with Fallon being so close personally with Tina, it really never changed the fact that she was always a Letterman guest, mostly because she gets her sense of humor in large part from growing up with the Letterman brand of comedy.

While it's always kind of made Dave extra "cool" that he rarely socializes with celebrities, even close friends like Hanks or Roberts, it's also kind of sad to think he won't probably see a lot of these people again. Maybe ever.

To me she looked a lot better in the dress, but think if she had a black bra and tights (or spanks or whatever) instead of flesh colored she would have looked just as good with it off.

That white dress makes her look like she's getting married.

Next Week-Dave's final full week of shows ever. :(

Monday-Howard Stern, Don Rickles
Tuesday-Bill Clinton, Adam Sandler
Wednesday-Julia Roberts, Paul Shaffer
Thursday-George Clooney
Friday-Oprah, Norm Macdonald (great for Norm to get this)

So, I think that leaves Tom Hanks, Regis and Bill Murray.

I'll be VERY disappointed if Foo Fighters isn't on during the final 3 shows, probably should be the last musical act.

I thought Don Rickles was dead.

And Clooney rarely does talk show appearances anymore so that's quite a get.

He had the Dave Matthews Band on last night. I really don't know what anybody sees in them.
