Re: The Walking Dead -- Season Finale -- "A" -- 3/30/14

I thought it was a great episode until I came here and saw it was the finale. WTF is that shit? What a weak way to end it.

So the powdered milk cartons on the ground implied there was a baby(red herring?), but I didn't see Tyrese, Carol or Judith in the boxcar.

Try going all 'squeal like a pig' on a child. I think they went far enough without going too far.

Carol "The Terminator" and Tyreese "The Mewling Quim" are still out there. The group is as good as saved.

Although I'm sure Tyreese bites it during the season opener. They've had more than one black cast member for far too long.

I thought we might see what happened to Beth, or at the very least hear Maggie ask "where's Beth?". Neither occurred.

It seemed that Carl was going to bite it at the end and then a moment later I was sure it was gonna be Rick. Glad no one died just to shock us.

Did Rick recognize Tara?

Time for Carol and Tyreese to pull off a Return of the Jedi style rescue of the gang.

I think the powdered milk was to show they were feeding the people in the box car, to fatten them up. There were plates shown, too.

So I'm guessing we'll have one episode early next season that has a flashback showing exactly how Glenn & Co. ended in the train car.

Probably assumes she's dead.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season Finale -- "A" -- 3/30/14

Liked the final line by Rick, but in a way feel like this series has now sold-out. I think they will be out of Terminus by at least the 4th ep. next Fall. They will also have some difficulty explaining how Carl grew so much in that train car provided they pick up at the same point. And...no resolution with Beth. I think since AMC is taking the Law and Order/NCIS route with this show, characters are no longer being set up to die as much as leave the group and pop up on the spin-off series. It's all about the advertising $$ now, and this ep. had more spots than I can remember any one having in a long time.

That said, anyone else think the Terminus people (clearly cannibals) were a practicing cult before the zombie apocalypse and it just provided them with an opportunity to operate better? If they had this going from the early days of the problem, then there's no way they went to cannibalism that quickly unless they were already doing it.

Wasn't Breaking Bad allowed the occasional uncensored "fuck"? AMC should have let Rick say fucking instead of messing, would have been better.

Should have let Rick say "San Francisco Cocksucker".

Nah, there were several bleeped ones in Breaking Bad. Hank said the final season one. I find it hysterical that a TV station is OK with multiple decapitations more blood than Carrie and an incredible amount of violence, but are completely against using the word "fuck".

Some of you guys are hard to please.

A very average season at best with an awesome finale.

I just hope they carry this energy to next season.

"The more people that become a part of us the stronger we get". Yup, cannibals. They dont even have to leave Terminus, they trick all the people (food) to come to them while they stay safe behind their fences. Although, why risk it to leave and take Beth? Obviously Carol and Tyreese are going to show up and save them.

I'm betting that's because they didn't take Beth. That would be the next storyline after this one.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season Finale -- "A" -- 3/30/14

I thought the finale was pretty weak. A lot of tension that ultimately led nowhere, such as the bit with Carl at the end being the last to go in the train car or the aftermath of them seeing Glen's stuff. I was disappointed in the group Daryl was with went out that easily too, which to me made their appearance just filler over the last few episodes since it didn't ultimately lead to anything. I didn't think the bite was that crazy, although it looked cool. And i'm bummed out that the group didn't learn outright what was going on at Terminus.

It wasn't terrible overall, but it wasn't particularly good either, at least for a season finale. I'm glad Rick found his balls though.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season Finale -- "A" -- 3/30/14

Watching the replay I noticed that when Rick's group was basically being herded toward freight car "A" they heard people yelling help from the train cars they ran past. So there are more people being held all over Terminus.
