True Detective - Season Finale - "Form and Void" - 3/9/14
An overlooked detail provides Hart and Cohle with an important new lead in their 17-year-old case.

I don't want it to end either. The one show since Breaking Bad ended that has drawn me in as much. Granted it'll be back for another season but different characters and stuff.

Was at a dinner party last night. Much speculation going on about what might happen tonight. Enthusiasm for this show among my neighbors rivals Lost and Breaking Bad. Was pleasantly surprised and persuaded a couple people to binge watch eps 1-7 today. Everything else takes a backseat to this tonight.

It took me most of the week, but I managed to get caught up in time for tonight's episode. Can't wait.

Great ep. Some holes/unanswered questions some will have trouble with though.
Great series from beginning to end.

Yep, that was alright. It was a hell of a ride, and it certainly didn't go to where I thought it might back around episode 4 or 5, but I feel pretty satisfied. Next season should be True Detective: Hart and Colhe, Private Dicks.

I think McConaughey might have an Emmy to go with his Oscar soon. He was great in this ep.
Overall, this was a good series. I felt the finale was a bit paint by the numbers, and I hated the cliche of chasing the bad guy into his lair without any help. What exactly was that place where he was hiding? Looked like an elaborate set piece. I am guessing that is where the cult performed its rituals back in its day.

Wish there would've been more of a reveal.

Cohle said something like this: You're looking at the sky thing wrong. Once there was only dark. If you ask me, the lights winning.

The Onion had a pretty funny article about the show. Forgive me if someone already posted it in last week's thread.
