I'm getting sick of this shit. I know effects heavy shows are super expensive to produce, but the first season premiered in January 2023, and the second isn't due until 2025. We got nine episodes and a two year wait for 7 more. Unless they announce the renewal now, S3 won't even start writing until after S2 airs, pushing it back another two years.

I don't know the solution, but it's damn hard to bounce around from series to series with little hope that they'll actually finish.

This 2-3 year wait for 6-8 episodes is getting a bit old. I'm okay with the shorter seasons when they are once a year. At this rate it's going to take five years for 20 episodes.

I’m curious as to whether or not I’ll like season two and beyond as much as the first season. I’ve heard the second game had way more mixed reactions compared to the first so wondering if that same divisiveness will apply to the show as well.

If they follow the plot of it, yes, it will be divisive and talked about for a long time.

It seems that it has already been years since S1 aired. Probably has to do with this thread being more than 10 years old and there has been a whopping 9 episodes produced during that time. Kindergartners when this thread started will be choosing a college by the time S2 airs.

I saw an article today about the Abby character. They are intentionally not having her being physically built in the show "because they don't have to worry about game mechanics." That's a wild statement. Everything about the character in the game is based around her being tough physically. Sounds she's either being changed for the show or just boiled down to her base motivation in the game with none of other aspects to the character. I have faith but it doesn't sound promising.

Meh. Much like Shane in The Walking Dead​​​​​​, I always wondered where Abby was hiding all the food she needed to build that kind of muscle mass. It sounds more like they couldn't build enough muscle on Kaitlyn Dever to match the game.

I am playing the Last of Us 2 right now and it's the most intense game I've played... probably the best game I've played as well. I cannot wait for this series to resume.

Think of it as another language that can be selected. If ASL is your native language, it may be more natural to follow the interpreter than reading the subs
