Finally caught up to this show after all the hype. Watched this episode, then the first three, then this one again. Great stuff.

I think all the slomo stuff was just to play with the viewers sense of time and put is in the same drug addled mindset as Rust. It's very effective in combination with the excellent sound engineering. The dude is high all the time. I don't know if anyone caught this, but in ep 2 when he goes to interview the hookers at that bar, he downs a bottle of tussin on the way.
I could definitely stand to rewatch the first few eps to get a better handle on things, but I'm just going to ride out the season, as I'm sure I'll revisit the series as a whole a few times in the future if the quality of the first 4 eps is any indication.

Just now caught this ep. knowing little to nothing about what was going to happen. Glad I didn't. That end sequence was something worth noting in cinematography classes.

Wow! I guess this is the episode when the show exploded, at least in the internet.
So, I started watching this show this week, one episode at a time, and so far I've been able to be spoiler free. So proud of myself, LOL!
I will probably watch the next two back to back.
