Damned good episode. Really, really good. Agents Of Shield has really gotten into a groove.

Loved the Stan Lee cameo. The guy just makes me smile. I'm really going to miss him when he's gone. Growing up in the 70's when he still had, "Stan's Soapbox," in every issue I kind of got to know his quirky sense of humor - and that's what the writers always play to when he makes those cameos.

But as far as last night's episode goes, I thought everything worked. Really well.

And I have to agree - Ming Na Wen looks AMAZING for 50. Hell, she'd look amazing for 40...

Ditto to everyone's comments. Very fun episode. May was really sexy and badass.

Really emotional scene when Skye got shot and Coulson was about to lose it.

I know the people who bailed probably think that they just don't have the time or patience for shows that start out slow that need time to find their footing. But I really think this is a case where a show is getting better as the writer's get comfortable with the characters and find a narrative that works.

I know there are hundreds of hours of shows per week and not a lot of time to watch them & some think they need to move on when they don't get immediate results, but sometimes patience is rewarded.

I wish the press releases and promos wouldn't have announced Stan's cameo. I absolutely hate that. It isn't a cameo if you spoil it ahead of time.

I'll be the contrarian and say enough with the pointless Stan Lee cameos. His guest spots haven't been that great in decades, he's been appearing in every half-baked Marvel production since the late 1980s. For the people that only know Marvel through the recent Disney movies, Lee would appear in just about everything at one point.

His name was attached to an animated superhero movie recently, though it was from his own company and had nothing to do with Marvel.

The Olympics destroy ratings for other shows. Everyone pretty much gives up.

I agree that Ming-Na Wen/May is the hottest 50 year old woman on the planet. I don't typically dig Asian women, but she does it for me.
Possibly but then again this is Eva LaRue at 46:

Definitely one of the better shows. Mostly it was much grittier and there seemed to be real danger in their world now which was a good change.

I think he was trying to point out there are plenty of hot women on TV that are 40 or older.

For some reason I think the Clairvoyant might be Ultron. Would make sense to tie into the upcoming movies.

Yeah. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with how hot Ming Na is, she is absolutely gorgeous, but just pointing out that there are some other women that are insanely hot in their late 40s, like Eva who can believably play a character below 30 at 46

I think it is pretty obvious her power will be some sort of telekinesis probably not much use in healing yourself.

Maybe Skye's powers will be a teleknises that can form into sharp electrical zaps and sting people, kind of like a wasp.....

What was the Emil Blonsky reference? I must have missed it.

During the Ward-Coulson segment at the hologram table, it's mentioned that Blonsky being held in a cell in Alaska.

I don't think there is much chance Shield is allowed to use an A-list Avengers' villain like Ultron. Considering we got Deathlok, Shield appears limited to Marvel's C-listers.

Deathlok has usually had a SHIELD affiliation in the comics, that's probably why he was used.

Personally, I hope the Clairvoyant is the Leader. The Leader was hinted in the Incredible Hulk movie, and its unlikely we get another Hulk movie. This would be a neat way to wrap up that loose end.

^ I personally think it might be Robert Redford's character in Winter Soldier, but the chances of getting a star like that to even make a cameo on TV are slim. I always welcome a Tim Blake Nelson performance , so if it's The Leader, then I'm fine with that . I just hope they let Hulk into the mix to help deal with him.

Haven't read comics in years. Whatever happened to Dum Dum Dugan? Is he dead in the comics? Don't recall Dum Dum in any of the movies either. If I recall correctly he was the only Howler carried over to SHIELD?

Dum Dum was in Captain America and the "Agent 47" short on the IM3 blu-ray

Great episode, one of the best. Really glad I stuck around. Loved the Deathlok reveal.

I saw this online somewhere in the past and posted it in another thread for the show a while back. That's really who I'm hoping the Clairvoyant turns out to be as it would tie up the loose end from the Incredible Hulk movie and bring the show even further into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Yeah, there was a lot of good humor in this episode. Nice contrast to some of the grittier moments, partiular Skye getting shot and possibly dying.

My biggest problem with this show is how bad everyone in the team is but May. Its like May is Batman and everyone else is Robin, but of course she usually stays back. They fail at every mission.

They definitely need to ease up on May basically saving the day for every mission. I think early on it was a way to establish a human female as a credible player at Shield, but it diminishes the rest of the team.

pretty good episode but i hope they don't continue to tease these other Marvel characters like Deathlok and not follow through
