Try not to stink up this thread with your loser stench, losers!

Deathlok and an Emil Blonsky mention

Thought it was a solid episode. I would have liked them to commit to Skye's death but not surprising. I did like the different viewpoints of the same event.

Overall, thought it was a very good episode. First one I wasn't checking to see what time it was. Was surprised when
Spoiler:
Skye got shot.
The Stan Lee cameo was a bit hokey but it made me smile. Whole episode felt longer than an hour to me. Meatier, if you will.

But March 4!?! Sheesh!

Solid episode for sure. It's of my opinion that the show is actually getting better.
Is Skye going to Tahiti ?

So episode 12 was January 14th, it comes back today (February 4th) and then gone again until March 4th ... WTF !
What was the point to bring one episode only to leave again? I assume so people didnt forget the show was still on ?

I thought the episode was fantastic. The time frame cuts was a little gimmicky, but actually worked well. May looked awesome all beat up and kicking ass, and the Deathlok reveal was done very well. Show has definitely found it's groove

The long wait is pretty dumb though, seems like this sort of scheduling hurts shows.

I figure that Skye's powers (whatever they are) are probably going to manifest and save her.

God episode yet I wonder why they always have to make someone blame another. Sometimes things just happen. A thing I noticed in real life as well, people almost seem obsessed with having place blame even when there is no where to put it.

Most shows moved away from that time of set up awhile ago and appears some shows are going back to it. I almost prefer just doing larger chunks.

Kind of waiting for that myself.

My guess about the delay is they announced the date of this one when the last one aired, then decided to go into repeat mode during the Olympics after it was announced. I'm basing this on something about episode 15.

Spoiler:
Sif from Thor is appearing in ep 15, which without repeats would air the week before Thor: The Dark World gets its video release, so it could've used that episode to build a little more interest. Instead, the episode is airing a few weeks after the release.

This show has gotten a hell of a lot better and Im loving the story line. This episode was pretty damn good.

May is such a kickass character.

Yes, this was a solid episode, for a show that gets better and better.

OK, I'm glad I stuck around... This was solid turnaround for the show.

I like how they've chosen to build a mini-arc with the Deathlok origin, that may not be wholly dependent on the core cast.

Coulson losing it when he saw Skye had been shot.

The way May said "Wheels up in 5" when she showed up at the plane.

Showing each person's perspective of the same sequence.

Good episode.

This the current comic version of Deathlok? I remember his organic parts being rotted decayed grey flesh.

As someone who read comics during the 80s I'm pretty much up to speed on the various Marvel movie franchises since they seem to gravitate toward those classic storylines but I have no idea what any of the references are on this show. In some ways that's a good thing but I do feel lost in these threads.

The "Blonsky" reference was to The Abomination being locked up.

Surprising fact of the day: Ming-Na Wen is 50!

Anyone else think she's the best looking 50+ woman on TV? Not that there's much competition in that category...

And now I see that this very topic is covered in the attractive people on TV thread. Oh well.

I casually follow comics, so part of the fun is reading this thread where people point out the characters and reading about them and the references online. Like that Blizzard guy that was on a few weeks ago. Those are nice surprises for me. Even not knowing, the show is getting fun just seeing the bigger arcs coming together, like a character who seemed like a throwaway villain of the week in the first episode come back and actually get turned into something cool.

I also forgot another nice moment on the show; Ward and Coulson trying to use the hologram table was pretty darn funny.

This was a good ep. I am kind of curious as to why this and just about every other series isn't putting on new programming during Nilesen month. Does NBC having the Winter Olympics have anything to do with it ? That's my only guess.

I agree that Ming-Na Wen/May is the hottest 50 year old woman on the planet. I don't typically dig Asian women, but she does it for me.
