I definitely liked Season 2 better, including the witches was a good move, though I still think there was room for improvement.

I liked it enough that I wanted to buy the DVD (there is no BD, and I'm praying S3 doesn't go to DVD-R only) on release day, but none of BB, WM or Target carried it, so I'll have to order online instead.

I vaguely remember seeing the season two DVD at Walmart the other day.

It would be great if at least some WM's are carrying it, but I can't even find it listed at their site (the digital version is there, but not the DVD).

IDK, I guess I'm the only one that didn't like the inclusion of the witches to the show then.

I thought the male witch provided a good villain for the show. They did run the witch stuff into the ground after a while.

I just noticed that Season 3 of Bitten starts this Monday night on Syfy. Final season. Looking forward to it.

And here's a gratuitous Vandervoort pic:

Supergirl has cast Laura as an upcoming character.

Cool! I stopped watching Smallville before she appeared on it, but I've always wanted to go back and watch some of those episodes.

It'd be weird seeing Supergirl in Supergirl and her not to be Supergirl. haha.

That's how I felt seeing Helen Slater playing Kara's adoptive mom.

I can't believe that's it's already going to be the last season. I guess I should've expected it, but still. First SyFy got rid of Being Human, then Lost Girl, and now Bitten. Guess I'll have to find another show to watch in it's place.

Well, in the case of Lost Girl and Bitten, SyFy just picked these shows up from Canada. So they didn't have a great deal of control over when they would end.

I suppose if SyFy really wanted these shows, they could have looked into picking them up on their own, but that's more expensive and they're more interested in launching and running their own newer stable of shows (12 Monkeys, Expanse, Magicians, etc.).

I'm surprised Bitten got three seasons, frankly.

I'll watch it later today, but Variety had an interview with the show creator:

I'd like to see more, including as a movie, though I don't know that that's very likely.

Laura is still in-demand as an actress. I would guess she soon finds another series in a permanent capacity, blocking any potential Bitten movie.

It wouldn't shock me if her appearance turns out well on Supergirl that Laura becomes a featured player on some CW superhero show.

Re: Bitten (SyFy) -- Series Thread -- Starring Laura Vandervoort

Even if she does get another permanent job then it wouldn't necessarily mean that she couldn't do a Bitten movie too. Actress Alycia Debnam-Carey is a currently a regular on 2 series right now, The 100 and Fear the Walking Dead. Ashley Benson has managed a number of projects while being a big part of Pretty Little Liars. Etc.

My understanding is that Vandervoort likes the role, and it can be argued that she should try to get as much work now, in case she becomes less in demand as she ages. None of that guarantees that she would accept, but I don't believe that her finding another job would necessarily preclude her from reprising this role.

I watched the first episode of the 3rd season. It was pretty good. Although I enjoyed the episode I'm not sure that I like where the storyline is going. I'll have to keep watching before I can make a decision on it either way.

Jeremy's always been a pretty intense character, but these actions seem kind of extreme even for him. Is he going to turn into a villain?

Interesting development with Elena's long lost Dad showing up, if it's true. I wonder if him being a werewolf will have something to do with how she was able to survive the change.

I'm also curious where the storyline is going with Rachel and her child. Maybe that will cause a rift between Jeremy and the rest of the pack.

Kind of already feels that he is in some ways. Join or else? That is a villain move.

That was interesting about her family. I bet you're right in thinking that because he's a werewolf she was able to survive the change. If that is true then I bet her sister could also be turned.

I don't like this version of Jeremy. He was always a good leader but still taking care of his family and respecting their opinions, now he's just getting vicious. But if people kept trying to kill me and my family I would probably become a little angrier and meaner too.

Re: Bitten (SyFy) -- Series Thread -- Starring Laura Vandervoort

Well, after the season premiere I let this stack up on my DVR unwatched for the past month, but I binge-watched them today.

It's been good so far. I like how they've tied Elena's background into the history of the Russian wolf pack. I also like that they are confronting their 'rules' about not allowing women to know that they exist (Elena being a natural exclusion). Say what you want about Jeremy, he sticks to his principles! RIP Sheriff Morgan. She was almost in the clear, too. After that, I fear Jeremy is not long for this world. She was an innocent and the rules of storytelling aren't in Jeremy's favor. There's also Elena's half-sister to consider. Jeremy was kind of noncommittal about her, I wonder if she will be a source of conflict in the future.

There's been a lot of bare man-ass in these episodes. I wish we could get a shot of Vandervoort's!

Re: Bitten (SyFy) -- Series Thread -- Starring Laura Vandervoort

They really need to knock this killing of anyone who finds out. Because even if they told someone that is sure something everyone would believe. At this point I would not mind if the existence of the wolves was exposed in a very public way. Maybe then no innocent people would die for a rule who knows who made up and they follow just because.

I doubt they cover that in this last season.

Re: Bitten (SyFy) -- Series Thread -- Starring Laura Vandervoort

I think Jeremy will die and Elena will become the new pack leader. She can throw out the old rules about women and usher in a 'modern' era for wolves. Or maybe she'll just disband the pack altogether.
