Bitten (SyFy) -- Series Thread -- Starring Laura Vandervoort
Based on the New York Times best-selling Women of the Otherworld novels by Kelley Armstrong, the 13-episode Bitten is an emotionally charged supernatural thriller starring Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, Ted) as Elena Michaels, the lone female werewolf in existence. Desperate to escape both a world she never wanted to be part of and the man who turned her into a werewolf, Elena (Vandervoort) has abandoned her Pack and taken refuge in a new city. There, she works as a photographer and hides her werewolf existence from her new boyfriend. When bodies start turning up in her Pack's backyard, Elena finds herself back at Stonehaven, the werewolves' ancestral domain. Torn between two worlds and two loves, she quickly realizes that - when push comes to shove - she'll stop at nothing to defend her Pack. Bitten also stars Greg Bryk (A History of Violence) as werewolf Pack "Alpha" Jeremy Danvers, Greyston Holt (Alcatraz) as Elena's werewolf ex-boyfriend Clayton Danvers, and Paul Greene (The Client List) as Elena's current beau, Philip McAdams. Bitten is produced by No Equal Entertainment, Hoodwink Entertainment, and eOne in association with Space and Bell Media, with the participation of Rogers Cable Network Fund and Cogeco Program Development Fund and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit. Executive producers include J.B. Sugar for No Equal Entertainment, Patrick Banister and John Barbisan for Hoodwink Entertainment and Tecca Crosby, John Morayniss, and Margaret O'Brien for eOne. Daegan Fryklind and Grant Rosenberg are Executive Producers and co-showrunners.

I felt this latest episode was the first one where the series really found its footing. Another bedroom scene with Laura Vandervoort didn't hurt.

I'm really liking this show. Doesn't feel like cheap Canadian show either. Forgot how hit she was on V.

Well, that was interesting.
The wolf attack in the club was pretty cool and gory. I was surprised to see the wolf eating the organs of one of the victims.
Pleasantly surprised to see James McGowan on here. He used to be on the Canadian show "The Border"
Nice to have another intimate scene with Elena and her boyfriend.
Was surprised they killed off one of the members of the flock at the end, considering that he's also in the cast photo above ^^.

It took three or four episodes of almost nothing happening, but the series greatly picked up this week with a new angle featuring a team of serial killing werewolves.

Renewed for a second season in Canada. 10 episodes. Most likely SyFy will pick it up as well.
FYI, the entire first season is on Netflix in case you missed it this past Spring.

I think I'm outside of the age demographic this show is aimed towards. Watched about 15 mins. of the first episode on NF and....done. That lead is incredibly hot though. Holy cow.

For a show about werewolves it was really lacking werewolves. They could have completely dropped that angle, made it about a mafia style family feud and it would be the same show.

I watched the entire season but mostly hung around for Laura. I don't think the first season was very good but I'm sure they will retool in a second season.

Vandervoort is definitely the best reason to watch the show. However, I do think it got better as the season progressed. The pack vs. mutt conflicts played out pretty well, though I hope they don't just do a repeat of that in S2. I wonder if we'll see any other types of creatures now.

SyFy officially picks up season 2. The show's Canadian network ordered a 2nd season last week. This is a similar deal to what SyFy has with Continuum.

Yep-Hard too get interested in a SyFy series that lacks special effects. The movie She-Wolf of London(starring June Lockhart) comes too mind. I'm still waiting for the werewolf too show up.

Been watching this on Netflix with a few more eps to go. Its like a CW show but with nudity, swearing, and gore. Its decent enough. Ill watch s2.

Season 2 premieres on Syfy on April 17. Looks like we'll get two episodes to kick it off.

I'll record it and may check it out, but I recall having to force myself through much of the first season. I was mainly sticking with it because of Vandervoort. I did like the big fight at the end of last season, so who knows?

Syfy aired the first two episodes of season two back to back. While I was bored with the first episode other than Laura Vandervoort (how she hasn't become a huge star is a mystery even beyond the Stranger's comprehension), the second episode showed a lot of promise with its new direction for the series.

They rebooted Bitten in its second season. A coven of witches was introduced as a counterpart to the werewolves and made the show infinitely more watchable. While I still wouldn't call it great television, it became tolerable genre fare in the second season.
