This season's story is epic.
I have to say I really thought at the start of the episode that the stalker and social worker were working an angle. Maybe they still are.

I loved that Raylan used the same car alarm trick on that thug.

They sure are juggling a lot of balls in the air so far. Though I'm confident they'll catch them all. The fun is see how it'll all come together.
Is this season the last, or the next?

Justified has been spot on with their casting from the start, but casting Michael Rapaport was a huge mistake. I cringe every time he attempts that accent.

Also don't like Rachel and Tim being so much in the background.
Still enjoying the show, though. It tends to get stronger as the season goes on.

I've just watched the first few episodes, and I've never heard Michael Rapaport do a Southern accent quite like that ...
It's a new thing for his repertoire. [Producer and director] Michael Dinner had the idea [to cast him], and we all thought, That sounds cool! But the question is, can he do an accent? And he did a little test for us and showed that he could, and that was it.

I really want Carla Gugino to come back on as Karen. Do you think they could possibly have Raylan be reassigned back to Florida and move the show there in its final season?

I was just reading earlier today that next season is the last and was seriously shocked. I feel like this show could easily go 4-5 more seasons without a dip in quality. I think I weirdly have a crush on Olyphant playing this character. Really bummed.
ETA: Agree on Karen returning. That would be great.

No way they move the action out of Kentucky for the last year. No way.
ETA: I wouldn't at all be disappointed to see somebody with a good feel for the material take on a spin off with Leonard characters like Karen after next year.

Didn't work to well the first time for Karen... but maybe some sort of agreement can be had with Universal to reboot the show. But I doubt it.

There are other good Leonard characters.
ETA: It's been a while since I read it, but I seem to recall Tishomingo Blues has a Dixie Mafia element.

I remember years ago Cheadle wanting to make Tishomingo... I guess that fell apart.

Honestly I haven't ever read many of the old Leonard books before Get Shorty except for The Big Bounce. From the description, I would love to see them adapt LaBrava into a show. It's South Florida, ex Secret Service agent protagonist, and a bad guy good enough that he comes back in one of Lenoard's later novels (the Jack Foley follow up).

Now I really want this one. If Scorsese, Coppola, and the Coens couldn't crack it as a film, it suggests to me there's something there that is wonderful and perhaps that would lend itself better to TV.

They just need to find a way to bring Ian McShane as a bad guy next season. Come on, FX, you could do it!
