That would make sense, but WB does things ass backwards.

In other words, you don't think WB will be using the TV versions in the JL movie. :)

Very Daredevil looking.

Yeah, now looking at it functionally, it doesn't say Scarlet Speedster to me. It's more, "how the hell do you run fast in leather?" This is now one where I would have preferred a costume similar to Cavill's Superman.

Everything looks fine above the waist. They did a great job on the hood and mask. I even like the belt. It's closer to a true comic book costume than I ever imagined on the CW.

The patent leather look below the waist doesn't really work for a character meant to be a runner. It just doesn't look comfortable to run in. They should have gone with mostly spandex below the waist. Could anyone imagine Usain Bolt running in those pants? We'll have to see how they pull off the running FX.

uh... don't like. Tough to run in leather pants, no?

I still like it but the pants need to be redone. Maybe he updates the costume throughout the series?

Couldve done without the black lightning on the cowl. Still miss the white.

Wish it looked like this (not my pic):

Is that black lightning or just a lightning-shaped groove?

It looks like a lightning shaped pair of grooves.

I thought everyone knew that only leather could stand up to the sheer forces as you near the speed of light.

I'm hoping they move away from the Smallville/bullet time effects that were used whenever Clark moved at super speed.

Loved how they handled super speed in Man of Steel.

I may not be a fan of Snyder but am glad he went anti-slomo to depict super speed.

I don't mind the slo-mo effect, I hope they do include a trail of light as he runs, leaving a blurring smear behind him.

I think the budget needed for the speed seen in Man of Steel would be too great for a weekly show. That requires a lot of blocking and other things.

How the fuck is he gonna fit all that leather in his ring? From what I remember he created some light weight material that can withstand friction and expanded when it was released from the ring. I guess that's hoping for too much.

The "costume in ring" Silver Age nonsense is best left back there. It was silly, even then. Charming, but silly.

I don't mind the leather, but I do mind the bagginess and bunching up the costume does when he bends.

Maybe it'll be a "Year One" type thing were his suit evolves if the series goes past S1....

Remember that he's smart and the fact that he designed Arrow's new mask. So he knows something about making functional hero costumes. I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt.
