anyone notice the Ferris Air truck at the airfield? nice touch there.

Maybe Hal or Carol might show up in a cameo.

Yup. Time to start watching it on Netflix and Hulu Plus.

I think we are much more likely to get a second stringer like Blue Beetle than an A-lister like Hal Jordan. Ted Kord, since we know Kord Industries exists in the Arrowverse.

I'm in. Hopefully they will handle this show as well as Arrow is being handled.

Just watched the Pilot through "alternate methods" and enjoyed it. It's very pilot-y. A lot of character set up and future plots being built. It also moves pretty fast (ha!) but overall it was fun. Grant Gustin is very likeable as Barry Allen and the supporting cast is good. Looking forward to seeing what they can do with a season's worth of stories.

Lot of easter eggs too including the very last bit (no spoilers!).

I enjoyed it, too. I'm looking forward to how they develop the characters.

Spoiler:
I thought the Detective West/Iris characters were too similar to Dectective Lance/Laurel relationship. Hopefully they change that and give Iris her real origin somehow. Also, I hope they don't turn that Carlos character into this...

He was so lame in the comics.

I bet they show this at Comic-Con. Watching the Arrow pilot there was one of my highlights.

Although tempting, I'm going to hold out until October and watch the Pilot on my HDTV. I'm in no rush to see it. Someone at WB or CW probably got their ass fired for this.

Yeah, I was in that fairly half empty room as well killing time towards the end of the day and really was surprised at how Arrow turned out. The Flash pilot was pretty cool

I really look forward to Grodd and Captain Cold.

Spoiler:
I found it weird that they disregarded the original storyline of how he was struck by lightening. I remember that he was on the phone with Felicity and missed the thing at star labs because he was "late" getting back from Starling city. In the pilot he had been back for a couple of days already and actually went to star labs. No mention of Felicity at all but he "runs" all the way there only to talk to Oliver.. Other then that I thought it was fun. Cant wait until fall.

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Spinoff of Arrow -- Coming this Fall

He was late getting back... to the event. It's shown right there that he showed up late to it.

We assumed he missed it in Arrow, but this clears up that he showed up to it, shit went down and he went to the lab before it was kicked off.

Robbie Amell, Stephen's cousin from The Tomorrow People, is joining the cast in a major recurring role.

I wonder which version of Firestorm they are going to use. I remember the original version had two different characters combining to become Firestorm.

Sweet, I love Firestorm. So that gives us Flash, Arrow, Atom and Firestorm across 2 shows in a shared universe. I'll take it.

I would much rather have Cara from The Tomorrow People in the cast.:D

Just don't force Cyborg into either show for godsakes. I have no clue why DC keeps trying to push that terrible character.

And am I the only one who's a bit bummed that they are going for Ray instead of Ted Kord?

hanshotfirst1138 07-09-14 04:30 PM

Why exactly they tried to get him to replace the Justice League's longest-standing member, I'm still kind of hazy.

The Valeyard 07-09-14 04:58 PM

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Spinoff of Arrow -- Coming this Fall

DC's C.C.O. (Geoff Johns) has a hard on for characters he grew up watching on TV. Cyborg was part of the "Galactic Guardians" version of the Super Friends.

taffer 07-09-14 05:01 PM

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Spinoff of Arrow -- Coming this Fall

Vic Stone/Cyborg has already been confirmed to be in Batman v Superman. He is being played by Ray Fisher.

As to why they replaced Martian Manhunter with Cyborg in the New 52 Justice League, it's the same reason Amanda Waller is a skinny hot chick now instead of being an obese woman. The comics are basically being used to push the movies/TV shows. A hot chick looks better on movies/TV than an obese woman. Likewise, they want a minority on the Justice League, so they put in Cyborg. They could have just used John Stewart to replace Hal Jordan, but Hal isn't as replaceable as Martian Manhunter is.

Arrow is quickly becoming a lame character with all of these super-powered heroes in his same universe.

This. It's either Cyborg, Steel, Mister Terrific or Icon. I like Cyborg so I'm ok with that. Movie studies are starting to target both Hispanics and Chinese audiences so expect the new Blue Beatle and an to be named Asian character eventually.

Whatever happened to the Jamie pilot?

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/hkxd9_EHos0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Either way, I still liked Ted Kord better and they have named dropped him on Arrow a shit ton.
