Funniest Family Guy episode in a long while for me. Even the Jesus parts weren't that bad.

QFT.

This episode was funny, but really got on my nerves after awhile. The Jesus Christ stuff was kind of lame. However, I did like the Jay Leno parody.

I was LMAO when Stewie had the nose bleed.

I thought that was Stewie not Brian.

Holocaust jokes are the best! -wink-

Could a mod close this thread? I didn't realize that there will be a Game 7 for the ALCS on Fox tonight.

Edit: Oops. Thanks for the correction mcfly.

My Other Self 10-19-08 01:10 PM

ALCS airs on TBS. NLCS airs on Fox. It's still on tonight.

RocShemp 10-19-08 09:21 PM

Great episode. Loved the BTTF and ToD references.

Cardiff Giant11 10-19-08 09:33 PM

I think my favorite joke was the Terrence Trent D'Arby one on the sonar.

I am getting a little irritated with the force fed anti Republican jokes though. WE GET IT!!!

Snowmaker 10-19-08 10:03 PM

I lost it when the hawkmen showed up and to Stewie's "how many pollacks does it take to fix a time machine" joke.

Giantrobo 10-19-08 11:20 PM

rotfl @ this ep

Nazi..."You're a stinking Jew!"
Stewie..."Um, yeah...you're sooo lucky you HR person isn't here to hear you say that".

hitmanjules 10-19-08 11:32 PM

I didn't get the hawkmen reference, but the Back to the Future sequence was great!

Sweet Baby James 10-20-08 12:05 AM

I got most of the references, but it just didn't strike my funny bone this week. Tis a shame because I usually love the Brian & Stewie road episodes.

Yes, it's become quite an annoying reflex on MacFarlane's part. Tonight's was so ridiculous, one has to wonder whether he meant it ironically, or if his political opinions are really so very simple and childish.

Flash Gordon.

I got all the "jokes", but this was a really boring episode for me - just not enough funny.

MrX 10-20-08 12:32 AM

ok episode

the Terence Trent D'arby joke was my favorite as well.

Yeah, MacFarlane should come on at the end of next week's episode and promise that Family Guy will be funny again if America elects Obama.

Boondock Saint 10-20-08 01:10 AM

Thought it was quite funny.

JohnSlider 10-20-08 01:12 AM

I thought the McCain Palin button bit was great, I only remember one other political joke so I don't get why everybody is so upset. The Back to the Future bit was awesome IMO.

Bill Thompson 10-20-08 07:07 AM

Funny episode, although I'm fully aware that Family Guy is the TV version of Shrek. It's only funny in a pop context and if you get all the pop references, this is not a show that will hold up over time because it is so dependent on pop culture references.

That is two too many.
I like the sonar bit as well, and the interrupted song and dance routine.

mmconhea 10-20-08 09:02 AM

the movie references are getting tired. they aren't even funny. Yeah I recognize the movie- congrats- you wasted my time with an unfunny reference.

Because most Republicans are utterly incapable of having a sense of humor about their political affiliation. To Rush Limbaugh meat puppets, it's only funny when you joke about Democrats, dontcha know.
