Guess I predicted it in above post ^. Supposedly, CBS is bringing this back to replace James Corden. Without Chris Hardwick though.

I mean, yay cool, but I liked Hardwick though. He's been entertaining on The talking shows and the original @midnight. I wonder who will slot in?

Re: @Midnight with Chris Hardwick on Comedy Central

Glad to see they're trying something else though its an odd fit. First of all it won't be at midnight. So @12:37? Second, is it going to be 30 minutes, an hour or back to back episodes? The Hardwick version was a lot of fun. He did a solid job with it. Surprised when it got canceled. Seemed to have a good following and its not like Comedy Central ever found a better replacement. But yeah. Enough talk shows. At least how they currently are. Format is dead and done. Might as well run cartoons. Hard to believe anyone is watching these shows any more.

A show like this badly needs funny guests and wacky recurring characters on a regular basis. But given the dearth of comedic talent in Hollywood today under the auspices of cancel culture, I don't believe it's a sustainable format anymore.

I can imagine Ron Funches, Doug Benson, Whitney Cummings, and Sarah Silverman just waiting for the call to appear on the new version.

Maybe just me but I would prefer one host with a similar format to the other late night shows.

Guess that means Chelsea Handler will have one less option to return to late night.

I watched a few older episodes of @midnight and a lot of that would not be allowed by todays baby standards. Shame.

We can check off Doug Benson too. He was on the new show tonight. Looks a bit different now.

I probably should have had Paul F. Tompkins on that list too. He was on last week.
