I'm going to be really busy tomorrow, so I'm posting this early. Will not get to watch this until Saturday.
Cinemax hasn't renewed this for a 4th season yet. Don't forget next week is the premiere of the 6 episode prequel Strike Back: Origins.

That airbase assault was fucking awesome, especially the airplane take over!
Scott banging Richmond and we got to see her tits!
God this is such a fucking badass show. Glad they wrapped everything up. I don't see how Cinemax won't bring this back for another season. I would love to see the Russian chick back next year. I loved how wanted to bang Stonebridge at the end.

This show continues to rock my world. First there's some badass action, then when everything is wrapped up, they're all "here, have some awesome titties to wrap it up!"
This season has been pretty awesome! My only complaint is the CGI blood splatter during shoot-outs, which looks fairly cheesy, but otherwise everything has been awesome and I can't wait for the (hopefully) next season!

Richmond!
I do think this will back next year, based on this article: http://variety.com/2013/biz/news/cin...in-1200703748/

I think it comes back for nothing more than the fact it is rated higher than Banshee (I think) and it's really only those 2 shows on the network. If you are going to build up the network, it is a good show to start with.
Plus, I don't think it hurts that this is co-financed overseas, which makes the cost to Cinemax that much less.

Fantastic season. I am looking forward to rewatching it on Blu-ray.
I think this was the best season barely edging the first.
Origins and Season Two are pretty much equal both with positives and negatives.

I've been a Michelle Lukes fan since season two (or one depending on how you treat the real first season) and my patience was richly rewarded. Good golly that scene made the season for me.

Awesome season. This definitely surpassed season 2 and I think this may have been the best season of the series. The airbase assault was fricking kick ass. Loved how well that whole sequence was produced. I was nervous for Richmond for a second.
The scene near the end with Kamali holding the trigger to the virus was really intense. This is one show that is never predictable IMO.
The great thing about Strike Back is they always wrap up the arc by the end. Glad to see that Damian and Michael are still partners.

and the moment we waited 3 seasons for. That sex scene with Julia and Damian was well worth the wait. I'm very happy that Michelle Lukes wasn't shy about her body. I've always thought she was attractive, now man she's smoking hot. Seeing her hair down was also nice.
at the hot Russian wanting to bang Michael.Looking forward to Strike Back: Origins next week. I'm interested in the background of John Porter and how Section 20 emerged. I know being that it's a 100% British production, the tone is going to be more different than the Cinemax version.
Please Please Please Cinemax. Renew this show. I need this show as part of my summer/early Fall TV regiment.

I was shocked with the major changes the show had when the second season began because the title was the only thing in common between the 1st and 2nd season. I really thought they fucked up and I'm glad I was totally wrong. This actual first season is different but just as entertaining and is only 6 episodes.

Other than the addition of nudity, I thought the UK was very similar to the US version (goofy but crazy entertaining). The 3 movies are in descending order of excellence.

Love this show for what it is - great popcorn action with a good story arc. I like to nitpick details and realism for other shows but this show for some reason I just don't care. Probably because they aren't going for dead on realism and aren't pretending to be.
Question for the serious TV guys/gurus - how does the budget on this show compare to other cable shows (non Game of Throne/Boardwalk Empire type shows) or non premium cable or network shows? The show has a remarkable amount of action and different locations, but it never really comes off as cheap or low budget. Maybe a special effect here or there, but the action scenes are tremendous. (I'm kind of assuming this is a fairly low budget show)

I was moving when the finale aired and didn't have time to catch up until now. Really loved this season. Might be my favorite, over season 2. While the individual plot points and shows might be predictable (was there any doubt Kumali was a bad guy, and that they were going to return the diamonds at the end?) the show as a whole is still endlessly entertaining and they seem willing to kill anybody but our heroes. I thought offing Dalton (Rhona Mitra) and replacing her with that British dude was quite the upgrade. Hopefully they kill Rodriguez and replace her with someone hotter. Stonebridge deserves that at least. The Russian chick ought to stick around as well. Really hope this gets renewed.
I saw Origins years ago (when it was just Strike Back) and was really unimpressed. It was why I skipped the second season until you guys mentioned how much fun it was. I just remember that it had a lot of silly/ridiculous moments, but the show played it completely serious. The tone was just off for the suspension of disbelief required. Probably worth seeing if you haven't before, but it's lacking all the great stuff that this show has in spades. I'm pretty sure there aren't any boobs.

Bittersweet, but glad we're getting one more season. 4 seasons is a decent run for this show, so glad to hear they're planning the end game.
FYI, I watched the final 5 episodes of season 3 over the weekend and woah, what an ending. Really liked the last half of the season more than the first.

Deadline says they will shoot next season in Asia and Europe. Sad it's ending, but at least they can go out on top. Excited about them shooting in Asia. Lots of great possibilities.

Sad that it is ending as this is the greatest late summer/early fall TV show.

Just burned through the whole season over the weekend!
(I know I'm a cheap bastard who won't pay for Cinemax--if I had sole control, I probably would--but it's hard to argue the expense to watch two series, one of which has only one season left, that I'm going to eventually buy on BD anyway.) PS: I thought we had a thread for HBO/Cinemax weekend but now I can't find it.
Loved the season. I also just finished season 2 and apparently liked it better than some people here, but agree that the third was exceptional. The action was so great, like a Die Hard movie every episode, and the nudity was better than in season 2.
And some of the moments, like revealing the mortar attack on the embassy, were
.
I watched one episode of Strike Back: Origins and thought it was decent but not the same, as I expected. Not sure if I would buy that or just rent it.
