Premiering Friday, Aug. 18 on Netflix, the team-up series follows Matt Murdock/Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) as the four disparate heroes begrudgingly unite for one common goal – to save New York City.
Marvel’s The Defenders also stars Sigourney Weaver (as villainess Alexandra), while returning players include Daredevil‘s Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jessica Jones‘ Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker) and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Luke Cage‘s Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Iron Fist‘s Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).

Looks fun. I just finished Iron Fist yesterday. As horribly miscast and as terrible as Finn Jones is, he seemed better in what little parts he had in this. Hopefully he's grown.

It's a pretty weak line-up to call themselves the Defenders. This is a group that once had Namor, the Hulk and Silver Surfer in it at the same time.
