I enjoyed this episode more than last weeks and I enjoyed last weeks more than the Pilot. At this rate, the season finale should be Dark Knight epic.

I had a good time watching the show tonight and last weeks was much better than the Pilot.

What can I say, I have fun watching the series. I like it because it is not like anything else on TV.

I do not need another one hour "Drama" TV show, there are tons of those already on.

Sometimes I just need a show that is fun and this is it. It is also cool to have part of Marvel comics on TV.

I am hooked.

You might also try Power Rangers sometime.

That was my initial assertion as well, but Obi-Wan Jabroni has shed proper light.

Spoiler:
It sort of would've made sense, though, if Marvel decided to make this an origin story for the cosmic surfer—especially considering the liberties their screenwriters have taken with other film-universe characters.

My son said that this show gives off a Torchwood vibe. Can't vouch for that but I've got the show just a notch above unwatchable at this point.

I fell asleep on the first half hour. Guess I'll go back and finish.

Or at least Heroes season 4 finale 'epic.'

Another decent week, I'll keep watching mainly because I don't have any conflicts and its just decent/good enough to stay on my DVR.

In the previews for this episode you could clearly see her dress lift up and flash some panties when she jumped into the pool yet in the actual episode her nether regions were darkened so as to obscure said dainties. And yes, I am the official panty patrol for "Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -- Now with Extra Punctuation."

What they did for broadcast was cut to a long shot right when her dress billowed up. The promo shot stayed on her as she jumps off the balcony so you got a good shot of her panties (under panty hose). So what was broadcast was her balcony leap from behind her then cut to her in the distance with dress billowing up. It's an interesting edit. Did they purposely edit the promo that way to pull in viewers with some light T&A? Or did they change it for broadcast at the last minute?

God I hope there isn't anything as silly as the ferry boat scene in this show.

It's not riveting television but I like it enough so far to stick with it. That said, Coulson going on a covert field mission in a suit and tie really bothered me.

Watched the second half at lunch. The episode did improve but the show is hanging on by a thread for me. At this point I only watch it when I have nothing left on the DVR. Probably got one more episode in me.

Dude, watch Arrow on The CW. Season 2 starts tonight and season 1 was just added to Netflix. I'm surprised that you didn't give that a shot. This show is okay IMO, but Arrow is a far superior show.

Although frustratingly uneven and far too heavy handed with the "hey, look! We got a bisexual protagonist! Aren't we PROGRESSIVE?" bullshit, the first 2 seasons of Torchwood are far better than what you say.

I didn't really care for this episode. I lost interest in the middle act and only woke up for the ending. Honestly, what I think the show is missing is someone that you love to hate. There isn't an anti-hero, a cocky jerk, a good-guy with a vicious streak, or a bad guy so awesome you grin when you see them.

We need a Jayne, Locke, Sawyer, Spike, Scorpius, Sayid, Fring, Omar, Harrow, Crowder, Daryl, or Ehrmantraut.

What they need is a Punisher episode. Someone who can out-shoot & out-smart them, someone who may help, or hurt, there goals depending on the mission. Or maybe go more obscure and pull in, Prowler, Silver Sable, or Bengal?

Regarding MAOS - I liked everything expect the stupid laser fence. Vertical lasers? Shoot down any local aircraft recently? Sigh ....

Well, the actor is gay, and a huge supporter of gay rights. I'm not so sure it was a stunt to show how progressive they were; to the actor is was normal.

This show fails badly in comparison after the first season of Arrow. On its own, it's a light, goofy spy show. This particular episode wasn't horrible, but it wasn't particularly good either. If I had been running ABC, that pilot should not have been aired. They sunk a ton of money into it but the writing and tone were very clumsy. The following episodes have been better.

It has a shot at renewal if it can hang on to any of its key demo viewership.

Hokeyboy 10-09-13 02:04 PM

Re: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D -- "The Asset" -- 10/08/13

For their third episode, Agents of SHIELD dropped again but is probably leveling off:

ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." posted a less steep drop than last week -- down by a 0.3 key demo and 700,000+ viewers -- but was still off in its third frame, which led to "Goldbergs" also posting a second week of declines. Interesting, "Trophy Wife" was steady week-to-week among young viewers and posted a very small audience gain. With huge DVR bumps for each of its first two weeks, "S.H.I.E.L.D." is still doing fine and this probably counts as leveling at this point.

Re: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D -- "The Asset" -- 10/08/13

Yeah, as long as Shield can start to level off that decline it should be safe for this year. I'm guessing the big wigs though will want to have some bigger marvel cameos for sweeps. Someone also said that we need to see some super heros at some point.
