He was a guest star seasons 1-2. He became a regular cast member in season 3.

Eads is the last cast member left from the Pilot, who is a series regular.

love the super security camera that can zoom in on a bloody fingerprint and get enough detail to run it through the system

Thought about bumping for the same reason. Classic CSI.

Well, "Kitty" was the intro to the Cyber Crimes spin-off. I wasn't on board with Arquette at the beginning but she won me over by the end. Definitely a cool concept for a show. They didn't have much in the way of co-stars or a base of operations, but it has potential. I'm on board if it makes the fall schedule.

I love Patricia Arquette, but the show was filled with stupidity and big plot holes, which is typical of CSI. You'd think for a backdoor pilot they could come up with a better script.

Hated this episode. Won't be watching Cyber Crimes if it becomes a series.

I liked it... I'll give it a shot if it's picked up for the Fall.

CSI: Cyber just got picked up by CBS.

Jerry Bruckheimer just confirmed the news.

I have 42 CSI's sitting unwatched on my bedroom DVR. LOL, I think I'm in denial that I've given up on this show.

I don't read any casting or other news for this show. I did have this weird feeling he was going to blow his brains out though after DB left his office

I don't think that really qualifies as a spoiler. The season is over now, and the news that the actor playing Brass wasn't having his contract renewed has been on various news outlets for a month or two. The door is still open for guest spots.

Re: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS) -- Series Thread

Wasn't sure where to put this but:

Friends With Better Lives star James Van Der Beek is staying in the CBS fold as the male lead opposite Patricia Arquette in CSI: Cyber. Inspired by the work of real-life cyberpsychologist Mary Aiken, the CSI spinoff centers on Special Agent Avery Ryan (Arquette), who heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world. Van Der Beek will play FBI Agent Elijah Mundo, an expert in battlefield forensics recruited by Ryan for his war efforts in Afghanistan. A self-proclaimed action junkie, Mundo often will put himself at risk to seek permanent justice, while Ryan will level his diehard behavior with her expertise in psychology. Together, they will fight the world’s toughest cyber crimes. The casting comes on a day when cybercrime is dominating the news headlines with the story about a Russian crime ring that allegedly has access to more than 1 billion usernames and passwords.

This will go the way of "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior," and that show had Forest Whitaker starring.

Re: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS) -- Series Thread

I'm not even sure I should acknowledge the adding of bow wow to the cast, I should just ignore it and never read another thing about the show. But I guess another "oh god. csi cyber sounds worse every time I read anything about it" is in order

The CSI premier was fantastic. Mark Valley? Moar please. Mark Paul Gosselaar? Fantastic as the Gig Harbour Killer.

Really solid start to the season, especially with a cliffhanger in episode 1.
