I don't think that's right. I clearly remember seeing a couple of episodes high up in my cable channels... maybe A&E, or TLC or something?

I didn't watch Shark Tank last year, who is Lori? She doesn't seem to fit in with the other sharks, at all, and the whole "QVC! QVC!" cheerleading is kind of annoying.

she's the queen of QVC. she's hawked all kinds of products on there and has made a fortune as a result.

Gotcha.

Honestly, I'm surprised this show isn't more popular, though it has grown a good bit every season - especially for a Friday show (It is routinely the highest rated show on Fridays in the demo)

It's doing about as well as a non-sports program can possibly do these days on a Friday night. The ratings for it would be higher on a Sunday or Monday.

Mark Cuban looked like Frankenstein with that Botox, very distracting.

I thought Dragons Den originated in England, I remember watching episodes on BBCA like 7 years ago.

Naw, Dragons Den originated in Japan.

I can. Fat people.

Interesting to see Barbara and Lori on the same panel.

It was almost the end of the show where I finally realized they had two females on at once.

This is the only reality show I watch. Absolutely love it and the funny thing is my wife and kids sit with me to watch it. Usually we're all over the house watching different things.

 @ Rolodoc

How is that a good idea?

Zocdoc was a great idea and invention. I still have no idea what Rolodoc even is.

I've seen those cake balls at 7-11 before so I knew the Sharks would be all over it. Never had them but they look damn good.

Re: Shark Tank (ABC) -- Series Thread Part II

Yeah, that is a pretty good price for cake balls. I can see them taking off.

I went to the local 7-11 after the episode aired to see if they had them. No luck. I would have bought a few packs for $1.99 each.

Which is why those guys went to the Sharks. They couldn't keep up with the inventory turnover demands and needed cash.

Wow...all sharks in on the breathalyzer. That's a first. Nice product. Surprised they didn't ask if it's patented (unless that was edited out).

Man Medals. rotfl

Laurie was smart to jump in on the doggie clothes (and get FUBU in)....that woman will make money on that dog shit. Idiots love dressing up their dogs and will spend more on that than on their own well being. And then there are the richer idiots.....

Oh jesus, I see all the Fubu dressed pit bulls now. The Breathometer bit was kind of awesome.

Re: Shark Tank (ABC) -- Series Thread Part II

Breathometer HAS to be patented, otherwise I doubt it would have been in such high demand.

i'm sure Mark was all in on that based on the software/tech inside of it. that's why he really wanted it.

Man Medals....OMFG, that was the most hilarious presentation ever. What kind of ridiculous product is that?

The Brethometer is a great product and that was a really solid presentation. I hope he's successful.

Nice to see an update on that young girl with the sugars facial product. Glad she's doing well.

I'm glad the Sharks were smart enough to stay away from that Mango preserve. The cost to sale ratio was ridiculous. Kevin was right that there was no money to made there. And I don't think any of the Sharks would have added anything to it.

RichC2 09-28-13 09:52 AM

Re: Shark Tank (ABC) -- Series Thread Part II

If anyone could have done something with the Mango preserves it would have been Lori, and it would be as a gift basket they sell on QVC. Otherwise I can't imagine any of them helping that one at all either.

Also, on the website for the Breathometer:

Breathometer is a FDA-registered device which boasts accuracy that compares favorably to other high-end breathalyzers.

It would have to, to merit the huge investments....hence the liability questions early on.

Re: Shark Tank (ABC) -- Series Thread Part II

Yeah, I actually meant to paste the thing saying it's still Patent Pending.
