I stupidly clicked into this thread on Monday even though I hadn't watched the episode. Fortunately I didn't recognize the eliminated DVD Talk players and thus didn't spoil the episode for myself.

Jason and Amy aren't awesome so far, but I could do worse than solidly middle of the pack.

One of the strategic points I've learned after years of watching this show is that you should always try to be on the same flight as at least one other team so that when delays happen, you won't be alone and you would still have a chance to beat the other team.

Still, the multiple delays encountered by Chester and Ephraim was just plain bad luck.

I knew they were goners as soon as they took the flight with 2 connections. Well 9th place is better than the last place I took last year with the fire fighters and I still have the baseball wives who showed a little ingenuity with their ability to beat the other teams to get on the standby list first.

I just thought I ought to give the thread a belated bump.

The double length leg means we didn't lose anybody this week, but I'm concerned that Exes just might become the 2nd team to be eliminated while holding an express pass. Could they be that stupid?

It was also nice to see Tim & Danny helping out the Ice Girls a little.

I would love to see the Exes go home. They are the only team I hate more than my own team. Seriously, if I knew the Afghanimals would be inept misogynistic man-children I would've never picked them.

So far I've been lucky with my pick and they seem like a nice couple.

Tim and Danny are really sweet guys, but I'm afraid that might hurt them in the end... looks like Reeby has met her match in Nicole.. it will be interesting to see how that plays out next week.

My favs (if I wasn't playing) are The Beards and Jason and Amy. But, of course, I REALLY want the ER docs to win.


edit: Tim and Danny were very irritating tonight (10/27)... well one of them was.. the smaller guy who had to wear the dress in the roadblock.

Yeah, I had high hopes going in, but after I saw the first episode I knew they were in over their heads and it was just a matter of time.

I was really sweating the fast-forward detour, but I'm glad Amy is a better singer than some of the other contestants.

I'd like to see a final three of Travis & Nicole, Jason & Amy and Timothy & Reebs (even though I can't stand the last couple). I think it would be an exciting finish that anyone could win, with plenty of drama from pink-hair.

But... GO Travis & Nicole! If they hadn't been my picks, I'd like to see Jason & Amy win because of likability, excellent gameplay and the way they treat others.

I agree, leeta. Those three teams would make for a great final three battle.
