The season premiere is Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 PM

The jist of the game: For an entry fee of just $3, everyone chooses a team to latch on to before the start of the season. If that team ends up winning race, then YOU will win a $33 Amazon.com gift certificate. 100% of the entry fees will go to the prize fund.

We will be using the First-to-Post selection method for the draft. You may post 1 and only 1 team during the draft. This is strictly first-come-first-serve. Anybody posting a list will only have rights to the first team in the post. If they have already been taken, you will need to post again.

Once again this season there will be 22 DVDTalkers and 2 drafts. The resulting game will produce DVDTalk teams of 2 for each team in the Amazing Race and at the end of the season, we will have 2 winners of $33 Amazon GCs.

The first draft will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9:05 PM EDT (6:05 PM Pacific) and the 2nd draft will be held on Saturday Sept. 28 at noon EDT (9 AM Pacific). The DVDTalk timestamp of your post determines validity. If you are too early, you will need to post again.

Post now if you want to play and include which draft you want to participate in (Wednesday or Saturday) and I will contact you with my PayPal information by Private Message. You may choose whichever draft is most convenient for you until one of them sells out. After a draft sells out you will be assigned to the draft time that still has openings.

All payments must be made via PayPal by 3 AM EDT Wednesday Sept. 25 for the first draft or by 3 AM EDT Saturday Sept. 28 for the 2nd draft. If you haven't paid by then, your spot may be released to another player.

Please, please, please! Include your DVDTalk screen name in a comment with your PayPal payment! This is necessary so that I can match people up with their payments. Also, please use the Personal Gift option as this will avoid seller fees.

If the contest doesn't sell out and an unclaimed team wins, the prize will go to whoever has the highest finisher.

I want to emphasize in a separate post that the first draft will take place at 9:05 PM EDT next Wednesday night Sept 25 after Survivor airs on the East coast. Hopefully this will be a convenient time for everyone.

I'm trying to make some minor changes this season that will hopefully make it easier to remember when the draft is and create more time to sell out the game.

I just realized that this is my first time playing as a mod. Of course, there's no way I can use that to give me an advantage in this game.

On a completely unrelated note, this forum has been dropping posts randomly lately. Database problem or something. I won't bore you with the technical mumbo-jumbo. Anyway, if you're one of the first people to draft on Wednesday, and you got a really good team, you may want to double check a few minutes later in case your post disappears and you have to redraft.
