Now working as a "delivery man" for Dean O'Banion (Arron Shiver), Van Alden is ordered to keep tabs on Al Capone, joining the ascendant mobster to help keep Cicero voters "informed" at a political rally. Dr. Valentin Narcisse arrives in Atlantic City, clashing with Chalky and Nucky over the loss of an employee. In Washington, Agent Knox aligns himself with J. Edgar Hoover (Eric Ladin), acting director of the Bureau of Investigation. Harrow fails to finish a job in Milwaukee, while Eddie demands a promotion after 11 years of service. another famous name pops into the story (j edgar hoover). I like eddie wanting to be a little more of player and less of a butler. Not sure that will work out well for him, but I like the idea.

Van Alden in the election rally scrum was a riot. He started off hesitant but once that chair met his face he was all action -- even the Capone brothers were impressed. I especially like the off-handed way he popped some schmuck with a sap while he was just walking by.

Wow only a handful of posts so far - I guess once breaking bad and Dexter ends, this thread should pick up momentum
Poor Van Alden - his wife is spending money they don't have
Glad that the Dr. did away with that lying beotch!

I am actually worried the doctor character will be a drag. BE does not need a "big bad" each year. Capone is the most interesting thing. Ratings are way down too.

Kinda funny, there is a lot I don't remember from last season.. yet I don't care. It is true for me that I can just get sucked in and enjoy it whether I know what's happening or not. The main thing I don't remember is why..damn can't remember his name, the half-faced guy went off and started killing a few people before going home.

Nothing to remember, it hasn't been spelled out why richard is off being a hitman. Maybe just because he is good at it. Don't know who hired him either. (although I still suspect nucky is somewhat behind it, because that land survey/title/deed or whatever it was he took from the two guys by the car seems to be the same one nucky had in his hands later)
