Classic shows you just started getting into?
The last two weeks I started watching Star Trek Next Gen for the first time. I only caught a few minutes of a few episodes through the years and never really gave it a shot. It always seemed boring to me.
My brother in law kept raving about it and since it's all on Netflix I started season one up to episode 10. Last episode I watched was the second Q episode and liking it so far (though I have the urge to punch Wesley Crusher
)

Same here with Star Trek TNG. I picked up the first two seasons on BD and enjoy them so far. I am a huge TOS fan but never gave TNG a chance.

TNG is one of my all-time favs, seen every episode multiple times. If you like it now you'll love it later on..gets a lot better at season 3. The show I want to watch is Babylon 5, seen a few season one episodes. But it's not streaming anywhere. I'll catch it eventually.

Watched the full run of The Wire a few months ago. WOW!
A friend just lent me the full series set of Farscape. Watched one episode and I'm not sure I can make it through the rest. Not digging the Muppet-y factor. I guess I'll give it a few more eps...

Just started watching "Twin Peaks" on Amazon Prime recently. Didn't watch it while in college during it's initial run.

You can't call it a classic in the age of the show sense, but just started Breaking Bad last month. Definitely lived up to the hype.

Am still working my way through Buffy. Great stuff.

I'm afraid that if I watch Star Trek, I won't be able to stop. I know I'd like it. But have never watched and episode.
I haven't been catching much lately. I use Netflix for most of my syndicated show viewing. Lots of Seth Macfarlane (too much, probably), 30 Rock, Arrested Development.

Like most great art, The Wire was way ahead of its time and now the audience seems to be catching up a bit, myself included. It's absolutely brilliant, it's almost ruined other shows for me when I see how intricately it's put together and how every piece is important. Whatever you think of David Simon's political views, the storytelling is extraordinary. On that subject, when does the third season of Treme hit DVD?
I've never forgiven Netflix for taking it down.
The first two seasons of TNG are really wobbly, it wasn't until season three that they finally got everything in order behind the scenes and show really improved.

My wife re-watched Dawson's Creek, followed by Felicity and now she's onto Buffy. I knew Netflix was a bad idea

Barney Miller and WKRP in Cincinatti on Hulu are the best sitcoms I've seen in....ever. It's a shame there are so few seasons online.

Its funny. I hated the muppet-factor too for the longest time, but they honestly get to a point where they become fantastic characters, and quite possibly, the best two characters by the end of the show. The show really gets going around the 3rd season with most of the worst episodes in the 1st.

I am a big sci-fi fan, i started with ST:OS when i was a kid having to fight my sisters that wanted to watch Brady Bunch instead. Give Farscape a fair try. You wont be disappointed. It is one of my favorite series.

Babylon 5 is probably the best sci-fi show I can think of, but Farscape is not too far behind it.

Depending on how you define "classic," I just started Breaking Bad about two weeks ago (I stayed up way too late last night to watch the end of Season 4." I'm hoping to be caught up by the time the new episode airs Sunday, but that may be a little too ambitious (I've got 12 or 13 episodes to get through between now and then).
