This looks awful. DC continues to send out utter garbage into world. Marvel must love the way DC is currently operating with its head firmly up its ass.

Yeah... I'm going to take what someone with a Dare Devil avatar says with a grain of salt, if that's okay with you.

You probably think S.H.I.E.L.D. is GREAT!

I dunno. Still looks better than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to me. This is a CW show, and it looks to have that perfect CW vibe to it...I bet you this thing runs 5 to 7 seasons.

I really hope that Gordon and Alfred can resist the urge to refer to young Bruce Wayne as sweetheart.

Jack Bauer himself couldn't...

I'm getting more of a Phantom Menace vibe...

Who would be a good Jar Jar? Anarchy? Ace the Bat-Hound? Batmite?

You've just ruined any hope I had with this show. I'm starting to get flashes of really bad ideas having to be used to avoid the main Batman identity.

This type of scenario is exactly my fear with this show. That's why I'm still highly skeptical on it despite liking the general idea. I get that they want to have Bruce involved in some capacity (even if he's not Batman at this point) but I still think a better way to have done it would have been to have him be like in his early twenties and just starting his training and show him traveling the globe.

I assume Alfred will have to carry a lot of the weight in this series.

I am not actually a fan of Daredevil....i just liked the picture.

And as for SHIELD.....i checked out of that after about episode 5. That show is average but at least it tries. This just looks like a huge pile of shit. So take as many grains of salt as you like mate. Its fine with me.

So your issue with this is that it plays loose with Batman's comic book origin story?

Oh God, Gotham is going to be Fall 2014's Agents of SHIELD. So many of these DC or Comic geeks are going to be butt hurt when the actual show isn't what they were hoping for.

I like the idea for the show for the most part. My biggest thing as I've said numerous times is just the fact that they're portraying characters like Bruce and Selina so young. I have an idea what to expect of the show and anyone who thinks this will be much more than a procedural type show using Gotham as it's settings and with some Batman related characters is most likely fooling themselves. I think it could be okay and I'll watch it but I'm not expecting anything outstanding.

This is from the creator and producer of The Mentalist. IMO, it's 100% going to be a crime procedural with Gotham as the backdrop. They may have some minor recurring plotlines, but this show is about Jim Gordon's exploits as a young detective. Making this a procedural will make it easier to sell to international territories. International territories prefer to buy procedurals over serialized shows.

People in internet forums like this don't like Procedurals because the plots and open and shut. I can see this being something like Almost Human in how the plots/cases are structured only with famous Gotham villains incorporated.
