You and that other dummy better start getting more personally involved in your work,
or I'm gonna stab you through the heart with a fuckin' pencil. Do you understand me?

Re: Dennis Farina dies at age 69
Big loss. He was a real cop for quite a long time before becoming an actor, which I think is why he was so damn good at those roles.
I remember him saying once that the best cop show ever made was Barney Miller, because that was as close to real life as you could get. (Couldn't make a show like that nowadays... way too slow-paced.)
RIP.

He will always be Ray Bones to me. Time to watch Get Shorty again.

Definitely sad. I always liked his work in various things such as Snatch and when he was on Law & Order. Also even though he was no Robert Stack I liked him as the host of Unsolved Mysteries too when it was rebooted a few years back. RIP Dennis.

"They say the fucking smog is the fucking reason you have such beautiful fucking sunsets."
We've been talking a lot how great he was in Get Shorty at work lately. He probably didn't have a lot of work left in him, but I'm still sorry to see him go.

Weird enough that he was introduced as Nick's father on New Girl this past season - and then they killed him off.

You know it is a big loss when he has his own death thread in the TV and movie section in this forum.
I remember him as Lombard the gangster in 2 episodes of Miami Vice.
RIP

I remember his short lived CBS show Buddy Faro. I remember it being about the only thing I liked on CBS in the late 90s.

His performances always made films he was in more fun.
