I'm in the minority who thinks they did a much better job casting the women than the men.

For the most part, they seemed to have ditched old people and almost all of those girls are easy on the eyes. Sure, when most of the girls are hot, the place is going to be "bitchy" and "catty." I would assume that's going to provide a lot of the entertainment and if one goes, there's several more to ogle throughout the summer.

The girl who thinks she's prettier than all the others clearly isn't, but they showed her in a bikini in the preview and she's certainly not chopped liver. Besides when the guys start showering attention on Aaryn and a few of the others and not her, that will just make her furious and we have more stupid fighting and nastiness. Exactly what I need when it's been a hard day and it's 115 outside.

There really isn't like a Jeff or a Hayden this season. No handsome guy who also seems "pretty" regular and likable. The pizza guy was cool enough, but his weirdness will probably get to me sooner rather than later. The black guy also seemed nice, but he's going to be spreading the word of the G-d for as long as he lasts, so, while I respect his views, I can't stand people that speak that way constantly. Other than that, the guys seemed really creepy. And the lifeguard really took a spot from someone more deserving. Or just deserving in general. He's a caricature of a caricature. Jeff Spicoli was like Einstein compared to this guy.

I get why an obnoxious girl like Ginamarie (I think that's her name) would get a spot and I can even see why someone would be attracted to her. I can't even imagine how the lifeguard has managed to live as long as he has with nothing going on upstairs.

Aaryn was my favorite based on the website photos and remains my favorite. I even like her more now, because she seems nice. I would guess she's going to be the first VIP or MVP or whatever they're doing this year to rig the show.

Oh, and Rachel's sister is actually not a bad looking girl. Certainly better in looks and behavior (it would seem) than her big sister, although Rachel might have won that first HOH if she wanted to.

So far, Aaryn seems like the only "normal" woman. All the rest are very high-strung, type-A personalities obsessed with themselves. Should be an interesting season LOL.

Zach seems very smart...I'm interested to see if he really is.

Since the first "MVP" vote seems to have taken place before the airing of the first show, that probably means that Rachel's sister (they're calling her Reno on Jokers) has a decided advantage b/c of the built in fan base.

You're probably right and I'm actually hoping she sticks around and doesn't just get sent home early because of Rachel.

I guess I mistakenly assumed most people where like me and would vote for the most attractive woman.

The MVP is going to go to whoever the producers want it to go to.

Aaryn is pretty (probably takes the best photo), but Caitlin is hotter on TV, she's my kind of hot for this season of BB.

I really wish BB would have somekind of challenge that would involve David getting a haircut, he looks like a women. Even though he will probably get evicted this week. I know all the fuss about what Aaryn has been saying on the feeds, and there are plenty of petitions online calling for her expulsion. There is probably no chance she will get kicked out of the house, if CBS even airs what she has said. The long standing tradition of BB houseguests saying offensive comments continues, everyone on the outside gets upset, then these people go back to their normal lives after the season is over.

Yeah, Kaitlin is the hottest to me although it's pretty close. Would probably go:

Kaitlin > Aaryn > Elissa > Jessi > Amanda

It wouldn't even be so bad if they'd frame it for 16x9 like they do with all the in-studio monitors. All the sets used in Julie's segments & in the house always show a perfectly composed widescreen image. But at home the picture is still square & looks like it was shot in 1999.

So I get the joy after seeing the second episode of retracting this statement. The fact that she could fall so easily for surfer-boy completely makes me write her off.

I still stand by my opinion of Nick though. He seems to be the smartest of the guys.

Ridiculous, isn't it? I remember it took a long time for The Amazing Race to finally begin airing in HD. I think it took Survivor awhile too, but not as long as this show or The Amazing Race. If The Amazing Race can buy and lug expensive HD cameras around the world, why can't this show finally update the cameras in the house to HD?

Our Racist Houseguests

The honchos at CBS tell TMZ ... they were certainly OFFENDED by several racist and homophobic comments made by the current "Big Brother" houseguests ... but hey, that's live programming for ya.

The houseguests have been under fire from what appears to be the ENTIRE INTERNET over the following comments:

-- GinaMarie referred to welfare as “******** insurance”
-- Aaryn called gay contestant Andy a "queer."
-- Spencer referred to Andy as “Kermit the F**" ... and praised Hitler as a gifted speaker.

CBS has released a statement to TMZ ... saying, "We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive."

However, The Eye points out that 24/7 live programming can sometimes reveal some bad things about people ... saying, "At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone."

There have been rumors that Big Brother will be 86ing some of the offensive cast members -- but it certainly doesn't appear that's gonna happen.

I'd be very upset if people were sent home for being ignorant. I've used the some words that I'm not proud of and while many of these people are much worse, they should have a right to say what they want to say and reveal about themselves whatever they want to.

I really doubt the public cares as much as TMZ thinks. People know this show is summer garbage programming.

If anyone should go it should be Grodner. And CBS clearly thinks these kinds of people draw big ratings. I don't think you need a group of clearly awful people to make for an entertaining season, but I also don't think Survivor needs characters like Russel, Brandon, Coach and the like to be an entertaining show.

CBS doesn't seem to care what I think, so I just try to watch and enjoy.

Next week the CBS show moves to a Wednesday/Thursday instead of Tuesday/Wednesday. So the eviction show will be back on Thursdays at 9pm. Does this mean that BBAD will also move be pushed back an hour on Thursdays? That's how they did it last year on Showtime.

Someone please spoil for me in the other thread if Elissa appears to be safe. I don't want her to go.

David is dumb, but he's not a bad guy. Aaryn is not a nice person. I'm disappointed that they didn't show her collecting his testicles after he got nominated. He had the audacity to actually try to talk to Elissa about why she would want him nominated. However, when Aaryn saw him talking to her she went nuts. Elissa is clearly evil or something.
