But it's Sony who's the distributor, and apparently they already brought it up.

I doubt he'd be trashing anyone by name so public/private is a non-issue, IMO. It would be fun hearing him trash Chevy.

I'm not trying to canonize him as St. Harmon, but my guess is that it really won't be trashing anybody including Chevy at least as I would describe it. I think the commentaries would focus mostly on him reacting to the material and describing what he thinks about it. That's not trashing.

Good point. I didn't know that.

Now, that I could see. I'd like to hear his take on the season.

And I agree, Michael Corvin - it would be fun hearing him trash Chevy.

So it seems that Dino Stamatopoulos (aka Starburns) is going to stop doing his current podcast because he is going to be writing on Community. Great news! Hopefully Starburns will return to Greendale too.

I sat down with Jim Rash today for a bit. He said he's glad Harmon is back, and every season they say it's the final season.

Starburns is still undercover at the other community college. They need to bring back that plot point!

Props the above poster. He obviously is some sort of genius...

I don't think anyone thought he would actually do it, just mostly wishful thinking.

Done deal. Harmon and Chris McKenna are officially back on the show.

Sony also isn't officially saying that season 5 is the last.

I guess he got around to actually watching it.

Edit:

You can listen to the podcast here: Ep 60 "Us of the dangling wee wee" , starts right off the bat with the opening line "so I watched season four..."

Re: Community -- The Final Season -- News/Rumors/Casting etc.

This silly bastard is going to get himself fired before the season even starts filming. I respect the hell out of the guy and all, but he's gotta learn to keep his mouth shut sometimes, you shouldn't publicly attack the company that pays you. All of this behind the scenes drama stuff is really childish and unprofessional and I'm kind of sick of hearing about it.

That actually reads more like it was contrived as part of the Harmon's back PR campaign to me. Sony clearly wanted him to react to season 4. Now he has.

If you listen to it it's not that harsh at all actually. It was certainly kinder than what many said here.

That's certainly true, but we're anonymous dumbasses on the internet. This guy actually worked with the writers who helped write the stuff he basically shat on.

I got a chance to listen to this today and he only spends the first couple of minutes talking about season 4. While it was obvious he didn't care for what he saw, this wasn't in the same league as the Chevy Chase rant. He's actually quite sympathetic to the situation the new showrunners were in and basically blames the corporate machine that is Sony for everything. The only two specific moments from the season he mentions are the Die Hard reference from the Christmas episode (which he mocks) and Jeff meeting his dad. He doesn't really say anything about that other than that he had been putting off resolving that story in the hopes that he could get Bill Murray and that it was actually kind of liberating in a way to have that storyline taken away from him. If he hadn't made the comment comparing watching his characters under the control of some one other than him to watching his family getting raped (which was admittedly in bad taste), the whole thing probably would've been a non-story.

I don't have time to listen, but considering he apologized for comments that “dehumanize[d] the developmentally disabled” and for “using the word ‘rape’ in a comedic context.” I'll assume he said watching the season felt like 'being raped by retards' and move on. Oh, wait... he could have said 'raping a retard.' Damn, I might have to listen after all.

Donald Glover will only appear in 5 episodes this season. Wants to devote more time to his music career.

What a selfish asshole.

Ugh he wants to focus on that wholly unoriginal crap?
