Well... it is finally here.
15 episodes all available at once at 12:01am PST / 3:01am EST on May 26th exclusively on Netflix.
Quote:
The show format for this season will focus on one individual character—with every episode happening at the same time within the show's universe—showing the character's activities since the conclusion of the third season.
Several actors who had recurring roles in the original series are scheduled to reprise their roles, including Henry Winkler as Barry Zuckerkorn, Mae Whitman as Ann Veal, Scott Baio as Bob Loblaw, Judy Greer as Kitty Sanchez, and Liza Minnelli as Lucille Austero; while new characters will be played by John Slattery, Terry Crews, Isla Fisher, Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, John Krasinski, the cast of Workaholics and many more. The plot of the season focuses on the fictional production of a film based on the Bluth family scandal.

Is that 12AM ET or PT? Because if I could start watching a 9PM tonight, I'd be very, very happy.

Hurwitz has said in an interview that it's not a good idea to binge on the whole season all at once.

I've been thinking I'll limit myself to 2-3 episodes a day, so that I don't just blow through them all.Originally Posted by Supermallet

I'm definitely not planning on binging. I honestly think they should release one new episode per week but that's just me. Would be a great way for them to actually make a little bank, for example, from those who would do the one-month free trial and then pay for a second month. Also, while we're in the whole "We watched the entire series in a weekend!" way of the world, just because we have the capacity doesn't mean it's what we should do.
I'll probably watch one or two a day for a few days.

Feels like very sound advice. Enjoy them at a pace. I do appreciate them being available all at once though.Originally Posted by majorjoe23

Thanks!! If Netflix is trying to lure in new subscribers with A/D, why in the hell are they now offering a 30-day free trial membership? I think they just made a big mistake.

I'm sure they're banking on people keeping the sub past the free month.

They should also only stream them during a certain timeslot. And include commercial breaks. You know, for the act breaks.Originally Posted by dogmatica

Just like old-timey TV.

Yeah, but make sure they play it at random nights to really recreate the original experience.

I'm hearing there might be a sneak peek or something on Netflix....If you log on and scroll all the way to the bottom there's a little bowtie icon. I clicked it and it took me to an Arrested Development episode. Who knows, maybe later tonight they'll let you see it early.

I'm going to bed soon and when I wake up at 3 there will be a new season of AD to binge my way through, I can't wait.
btw, what are we doing in terms of spoiler threads? One big thread and visit at your own risk starting at 3?

Having a serious schadenfreude experience searching for "Arrested Development minutes" on Twitter and seeing all the people who think its gonna start streaming at 12am EST. Like people having viewing parties and shit. Can't wait to see the freakouts once midnight actually comes and goes in the East.
Of course I'd give the whole enjoyably-awkward experience up if them actually somehow being right was what it took to get the episodes 3 hours early.

Actual tweet:
"I would like to say F U to the West Coasters that are watching Arrested Development right now.... I have to wait until 3 AM"
You can't make this stuff up.
