I wish they would kill of Theon, and quit wasting our time with it.

Had no idea that was a term. Figured someone just really really misspelled "schtupping."

^^ For the curious, Joffrey is touching that cloth to his face because the cloth is most likely perfumed and he was holding it under his nose because the area he was in smelled like shit, literally. It was a common thing even in the real world up until the 20th century.

Re: Game of Thrones -- "Dark Wings, Dark Words" -- 4/07/13

Not feeling it for the Talisa character. Every time Oona Chaplin appears, I think I'm seeing ET's sister.

Funny thing is that, although neither of us had read a word of GOT before seeing Season One, we could immediately remember every character's name...yet neither of us could remember Talisa's name this season even after seeing her in multiple episodes (I still want to call her Jeyne).

Tried finding out why they made the switch. Evidently they planned to go with Jeyne Westerling and then started fiddling around with small changes until Martin suggested just creating an entirely new character not in the books (while retaining the idea of a 'nurse'). Disappointing to me...I really prefer the 'surprise' element in the book when Robb appears with wife in tow (to Kat's extreme dismay...too late for her to try to convince him that it's a bad move crossing Walder Frey). Also liked the fact that Jeyne not only nursed Robb's wounds but physically comforted him when he got the news of Bran's & Rickon's [apparent] deaths...and that he, being a duty-bound sort of guy like his father, felt obligated to marry her since he had 'despoiled' her. Of course, he'd also fallen in love with her, too. Anyway, I like the original storyline much better than the makeshift one although Chaplin does wear boots well.

Not totally against expanded character scenes. Margaery & Joffrey's new scenes work (even if Natalie Dormer still looks as though she's constantly sucking lemons)

And they could replace him with Reek.

Anyone else think of Marathon Man during the interrogation scene? I kept waiting for the question "Is it safe" to pop up.

Maybe they felt as though they rushed through The Tickler's brief appearance & wanted to make up for it.
