Im in disbelief... How was everyone involved like "I was so shocked when reading the script"? What was shocking? That nothing happened?

That was disappointing. Andrea dies, but the bite and her actual death all happens off screen. The Governor just is out wandering around somewhere with no resolution. All the people in Woodbury decide to go to the prison? Why didn't they do the opposite and the prison group go to Woodbury instead where there's actually houses and stuff? And Carl is still a little shit.
The action was decent but had no payoff.

I can't even believe they dragged this shit out for 3 additional episodes leading up to this "epic" finale...to not follow through on nothing. Fuck it. Im going to watch GoT and try to salvage my night.

Well, we now have a ton of red shirts for next season.
But wow. So underwhelming. It felt like they just removed the third act.

It was nice to see Andrea was more concerned with talking to Milton that TRYING TO GET FREE. She's literally racing the clock, but only when he finally turned, she did she show any urgency to get the pliers to get the cuffs off. She deserved what she got. Stupid, Stupid Stupid.

I'm most disappointed with the fact that they are still going to be at the prison next year.
I only have to shake my head at the two clowns that got into the truck with the governor after he went bananas killing everyone.

Well, that was the most anticlimactic season finale I've ever seen.

I kept expecting the final shot to be a walker with an eyepatch, but it never happened. That would have resolved things nicely.

The start of Season 4 will show Baby Judith aged 5 years, ala Andy from Family Ties.

So I guess we know what the "creative differences" are that got Mazzara out. Pretty disappointing.

The entire Andrea/Milton scene was a bore. I didn't feel bad for Andrea dying, she is a wishy-washy character who can't do a thing right, and we are supposed to feel bad for her death?
The best moment of this sorry excuse of a finale was when Carl just shot the other "kid" without risking any harm to him and Herschel. Good call.

For a season that started out so spectacularly in its first half, there certainly was a steep decline after the extended break. When the top discussion point from the finale is "Did Carl go too far?!" you know there's trouble with the writing.
I was expecting a twist in the Milton/Andrea scene, with zombie Milton demonstrating that he still retained some of his human memories. Since that was, you know, the original point of introducing the character.

Shazam, shazam, shazam.
It made no sense that the Governor wouldn't have executed Tyrese and his sister, instead saying "thank you" and handing them a big gun. However, maybe he didn't want to show the residents that he's an out-and-out psycho, so he kept his Ace hidden. When he executed the defectors out on the road, there was nobody to see him...but it made no sense for the Governor to stop shooting his victims in the head just when he got to the girl hiding under the dead body, and that girl should have died.
I actually cheered when Carl wasted that boy. Carl's point-of-view reminds me of Shane's point-of-view.

The first 8 episodes of this season were great and really built the story up, while the last 8 were much dull and boring and didn't really seem to do much storywise. I find it hard to believe something more wasn't behind that.

Yep, let's bring in a bunch of geriatrics and children into the camp during the zombie apocalypse. Carl walking away in disgust was great.
I thought the episode was pretty average for a season finale.

Exactly. Can't believe ppl are bitching so much about it. The episode would only deliver if the baby had died? I guess the finale is a victim of its own hype. If it had been a simple showdown between Rick and the Governor then ppl would be complaining that it was predictable and boring.
The episode left the door open for many possibilities including Carl turning into a mini governor.
