SNL - 03/2/13 - H: Kevin Hart - MG: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Kevin Hart... I have not seen any of the movies that he's been in.

But I know who Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are (their song is "Thrift Shop").

It started this week for me.

It has shown in the past and then went away. Sometimes it depends on the browser you use too.

The song "Thrift Shop" is like a Lonely Island song.

I haven't seen contextual advertising here or anywhere else since I started using Firefox about nine years ago.

This episode is ass, and this musical act just confirmed it. It sounds like a band Jean-Ralphio would have put together.

wow- terrible show. The best thing was the Starbucks commercial which was shown previously. Seth was pretty funny on Weekend update as well. Bad.

Is it just me, or did Don Pardo's introductions sound off tonight?

It almost sounded like someone was trying to do a Don Pardo impression, but I think he may have just been sick.

I saw those text ads on my iPod Touch, but not on my PC. The really stood out bad on my iPod.

Re: SNL - 03/2/13 - H: Kevin Hart - MG: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Whaaat?!

I really thought other people would of enjoyed this episode! I laughed my ass off tonight! and i rarely do!

Not a huge fan of Kevin Hart but i thought he killed it tonight. His monologue with the sandwich was really funny and the Steve Harvey skit with the horse with knives for fingers trying to steal his rings had me in stitches! He was full of energy and he truly looked like he was enjoying himself.

People kept praising the Waltz episode and i kinda enjoyed it. and here i am really loving this one and everyone hates it. I guess im the one who's off

And yes the 'musical' guests were pretty awful, even though that Thrift Shop song is damn catchy!

I guess i liked this episode due to the fact that there wasn't much political sketches! Never understood the appeal of political sketches. Maybe because i don't quite get it as i'm a Canadian and i don't follow the American politics (hell i don't even follow the Canadian one!)

Kevin Hart's standup is hilarious, but his TV and movie appearances...aren't.

If people aren't watching real husbands of Hollywood they really need to rectify that. One of the funniest shows on tv. I've thought of starting a thread but I know the way this board skews, but people are doing a disservice to themselves if they don't give it a chance.

Not terrible but I think SNL really needs to find new writers. The host had a lot of good energy but for some reason every time they have a black, hispanic, or asian host the jokes are like 80% about race. I don't get it. The most offenisive I think was when Lucy Liu hosted.

Yah think? I don't know how Seth Meyers can always look so smug and confident, he's the head writer of the worst written show on TV.

I thought this was a decent episode. The "Z-shirt" commercial was good and I loved The Walking Dead segment. Particularly the point of them hammering home the fact that little 12 year old Carl has suddenly become the terminator in the series. And it was great that Nasim Pedrad was playing Carl.

Re: SNL - 03/2/13 - H: Kevin Hart - MG: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Why did the "musical" act have six horn players who stood around doing nothing, while a single-instrument recorded horn track was playing. Couldn't six horn players have handled covering a single, simple horn track?

Not a good episode but the second Z-shirt bit killed me.

I loved the line from the teacher during the cold opener - "Try reading Beowolf now, you monsters!" And the second Z-shirt bit was great.

I actually really like Kevin Hart and Macklemore, but didn't care for the episode all that much. Pretty much any episode of Hart's show is funnier.

Save for the last couple of lines trying to be all topical on trendy brand names, it's pretty much intended to be.

Will Tina Fey maybe host or do a guest spot since she has a movie coming out "Admission" this month?

I thought it was an alright episode. Loved Z-shirt and the Dove chocolates, especially watching Hader try to keep it together.
