Raylan finds himself caught between a foxy grifter and an old nemesis out for revenge; Boyd and Ava come face-to-face with the decadence of Harlan's elite.

Amazing.
This my friends is the best episode of the season.
In fact if you don't like this one, you should probably stop watching.

Is that Michael Gladis guesting? I'm not great with these things, but I keep thinking Mad Men when I see him.
ETA: Just re-ran the guest credits at the start. Yep.

Some great lines last night:
Arlo: "You did learn something from me".
Raylan: "Not really".
Johnny to Colt when he walks into the bar: "Well if it ain't the 10 lb bag of shit in the 5 lb bag".

Good to see Paul Kinsey up to his same ol' hijinks and debauchery.

When Kinsey grabbed the panties off the dryer cords I wondered if that was in the script or if he did that in the moment.

I know it's a nice line, but that is a really old line. None of you have heard it before?

I've heard it for ages. Hell, I've heard it used about me on rare occasion and have a few friends who get labeled that way on probably a weekly basis.

Wasn't it "10lbs of shit in a 5 lb. bag"?
I thought the best part was at the intro when Raylan left Art's office and wished the guy Happy Birthday. He's flabbergasted and says to Tim "You believe that? Wished me Happy Birthday." and Tim shoots back "Jesus Christ, Nelson! I'm sorry I forgot your birthday." (Not to mention after Raylan asks about the takeout menus and leaves, Tim asks "You workin' lunch? Go get 'em Tiger!")
So many things were on point this episode. To me, they're all good (if for no other reason than the acting/dialogue), but this one was REALLY good.

I liked the scene with the three guys giving Boyd their speech about how he exists only because they allow it, and especially the way Boyd was glowering afterward. HOO BOY, are they gonna get dead!

Though I'm kinda surprised by how they insinuate Bo, essentially, was their bitch.
I also wonder how the whole triangle/square is going to work out with Boyd, Johnny, Colt, and Wynn.

All I could think of in that scene was how while Rose and Mike Seaver wouldn't approve of a contract killing at all, the other partners at Wolfram & Hart would be happy to see it happening.

Theo has Wynn killed.
Raylan kills Colt after Colt kills Tim. (sad as it makes me feel)
Johnny survives to cross Boyd again two seasons from now.
That would be my wild ass guess.

The "movie" right down to the credits rolling was freaking hilarious.
They really seemed to have upped the humor this season.
Also like the new angle with the old guys leveraging Boyd; it came a bit out of left field but Boyd's got a lot of threats around him now.

I'm kinda disappointed in this season. On one hand, I love the characters and the dialogue is still top notch. I could watch an hour of the cast just at a dinner table. Unfortunately, this season seems to be stuck in neutral and has proven that this show needs a big baddie to play off Raylan and, to some extent Boyd, to elevate this show to something special. Season 1 was finding it's footing but Bo Crowder emerged as a formidable foe. Season 2 had Mags. She was incredible. Season 3 had that crazy mutha Quarles. Season 4? Still looking. I thought it would be the church but they were two shows and done and this Drew Thompson storyline just ain't cutting it............for now. It's dragging on too long. This week's episode was the best so far this season but really should've been like episode 2 or 3, not episode 7. I can't believe they brought back the bail jumper from the 1st episode. It just seems like padding.
