I thought the Pilot was not bad...but not good either. The script (by the same writers as the film) is the strong point -- funny at times, and doesn't hold back on language or gore. The weak point is the cast, especially the guy who plays Tallahassee (he doesn't seem to be a bad actor, but he's horribly miscast).

Well, I guess there went the plan for a possible sequel.
No worse than Reaper, but at least I liked the cast of Reaper. Tallahassee is terrible.

I think they would have been better with a new group of characters rather than second rate versions of the characters we already know and love. Opens it up for cameos from the original cast, etc.
The makers of this show sure think that a little girl swearing is HI-LAR-I-OUS.

I just watched it and meh... It wasn't horrible but I didn't love it either. I think a big problem like someone else mentioned is that they used the same characters from the movie and tried to pass off these new actors as the same which they clearly aren't anywhere near as good. Also I agree with someone else in that it feels like a cheesy comedy from the 80s or 90s and not in a good way. I personally still think the idea works better as a movie (yes I know it was conceived as a series originally). I just don't see this being able to sustain interest for very long without getting really old.

I liked it enough that I would like to see how it evolves. The construction scene was funny. Not as terrible as I feared.

Amazon Studios’ “Zombieland” pilot has ended its one month trial presentation and, sadly, the show will not continue. Not on Amazon at least, the network has passed on the series. While it’s technically possible the show could be passed on to another network, it’s probably not all that likely.

I'll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence.

There were so many things wrong with this show that we viewers had no choice but to "hate it out of existence."
> The actors were poor replacements for the originals with very little enthusiasm for the material.
> Tallahassee was made incredibly dumb in the show compared to the movie.
> The makeup effects were inconsistent.
> Why would they eat pie with their hands? They are in L.A. and can find utensils somewhere like I don't know... THE OLD COUPLE'S HOUSE.
> And then the fact that OnStar still works yet the world looks desolate and damaged. So uh, how does the power work?

Hmmm, guess I never chimed in to say it was a piece of shit. I did, however, tweet that. I feel good knowing I may have played a small part in bringing about its necessary demise.

I was recently reminded that this existed and I came to see what the reactions were. I guess it's not worth looking up for a quick binge?

I actually thought about this with the sequel coming out. I remember it not being great, but it's only a pilot episode and didn't go any further so it isn't like you'll waste a ton of time by watching it.
