I'm going to give this show a shot. I've seen Jim live and hung out with him after a show here in Htown, really cool guy. He bought everyone in the audience a shot. OK they were wells but that cost him a few hundred bucks. Anyway he's a funny dude and has probably the most vile, crude sense of humor I've ever heard so I'm sure he'll have to tone down quite a bit. Hope the show is a success.

Anyone catch this? Certainly some very funny parts, but I don't know what to make of the show... the main character is a real dick, and he takes his roommate's disabled/dying brother to a brothel to get him laid.

I'll give it another shot, but I am very much on the fence with this one.

that episode was a lengthy routine Jim Jefferies did in one of his specials (which he claimed was true). in fact both episodes i've seen are directly taken from his stand up

The latest episode with the Skype chatting was the funniest to date. It was funny enough where the 30 minutes felt a bit too tight for the plot and could have been extended.

^ Agreed. I liked the pilot and this show just keeps improving.

This is one of my frustrations at DVDTalk. The 1-2 punch of a search function which isn't always as helpful as it could be coupled with persons who post snarky comments about how someone didn't use the thread search. It's tired and not good hospitality.

Do you think he started this thread to supplant yours? Is there malicious intent? Would you have taken notice if you hadn't of started the other thread? Would you have posted your comment here if someone had been posting in the thread you started? Is there a better way to offer hospitality to a fellow member?

With due respect, those might be good questions for you - and all of us - to ask ourselves before posting something like "Nice thread search."

As to the OP (both of you) I haven't seen it but may have to give it a shot. Does FX show full episodes online? I don't have cable right now.

I really liked the latest episode. Some hilarious bits taken from Jeffries stand up. The stuff on the plane was classic, seemed very Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It was cool to see "Lucy" from Twin Peaks after all these years.

This series is HILARIOUS.

The 5th episode was awesome.

People still watching this? I have enjoyed every episode so far, and I really liked his riff on actors. I haven't really seen any of his stand-up so I'm assuming it's from that.

This show is freaking awesome, I'm surprised it's not popular enough here for weekly threads. I admit I didn't know who Jim Jefferies was before this show. Watched one of his comedy specials, dude is funny as hell.

Season Finale is tonight.

There will be a 2nd season on the new FX channel, FXX, next year.

Glad to see this was renewed. It's been a pleasant surprise.

Love this show. Twisted, but somehow still with some heart.
